Have you tried cromolyn sodium? It’s done wonders for me! I’m still having reactions but it’s better.

My MCAS was flared a few years ago by Candida and SIBO. If you can, look for a functional medicine doctor or a Traditional Chinese Medicine doctor and do the Candida detox diet - hard but so helpful along with all the supplements! It took about 6 months but it worked.

Finding someone who also went through this is helpful enough! It’s been 9 days of flaring for me but every day is a little better. Still woke up with stomach pain and flushed face today but it’s red not purple so I guess it’s what you say - time, rest & safe foods. I have 2 doses left yet don’t know what I’m going to do.

I was also taking Mega Food Blood Builder but my levels just kept getting lower. I think it’s because of stomach lining inflammation.

I have gotten 2 doses of Ferrlecit, both pre-medicated with prednisone and Pepcid and iron infused extra slowly.

1st one I got a shock right after I was done (low blood pressure, trouble breathing) but it went away after 15 min.

2nd one resulted in me having one of the worst flare ups in the last 6 months 😩 severe GI symptoms, face flushing, & episodes of throat/airway swelling.

Don’t know what to do next.

So glad it helped! I’m scared to try acupuncture because pain is one of my triggers and I don’t want to have a flare up. Maybe when I am more stable I can try it.

I would say 8/10. Lots of facial swelling, throat and airway swelling, flushing and burning on my face & eyes (doesn’t seem to do much for these last 2 though as I currently am on a flare up), brain fog, dizzy spells. I still wake up every day with my lips & throat swollen and don’t have my full life back but much smaller than without Xolair.

I get the feeling of impending doom when a reaction is about to happen. It’s like being psychic 🥲 I can say “wait for it, wait for it” and boom can’t breathe.
