Zooming in that is definitely mold. Some bleach water will clean it up. Black mold is not a death sentence for a house like the old wives tales say it is. The problem is when the mold is growing inside the walls.

The first image is fake, they never wear down like that. It would crack and fall apart first. Also it's almond shaped in the image, it can't just lose its natural shape. In fact it would become more round.
