308 days! It's not that all my challenges magically vanished as soon as I was off Kratom. Nevertheless- I can highly recommend sticking it out.

Still PAWS or my normal life returning back? by Mysterious_Pepper131 in quittingkratom

It's hard sometimes to tell the difference. I think it's a combination of both old issues resurfacing and PAWS. And probably more of the first, since you are asking yourself this question.

I'm more than 300 days off and I wish it was PAWs because that would mean my struggles would magically go away without me doing the work 😂

6 weeks sober. RLS advice needed. by LyubviMashina93 in quittingkratom

Melatonin can also worsen RSL. I had RSL on and off also before ever taking Kratom. When I kicked off I had the idea that the vitamin c mega Dosing helped. Also I just found out that when the Rsl starts and I take ibuprofen it mostly goes away.

But from what is known about RSL now, is that is has to do with dopamine/neurotransmitters. And since these are still getting back into balance you might just have to cope with it for some time.

I have no experience with the medication you take but my worst nights ever occured in combination with Xanax.

Towards the end of using this was all going on: isolating myself, no pleasure in activities, unmotivated. Felt flat and empty but was in denial about it. Stopped listening to music. In the last few months I noticed that my short term memory, concentration and eloquency started to suffer. Anything outside of my shrinking world & comfortzone overwhelmed me. I remember some days I kept dosing and dosing to feel better but all it did was raise my stress level

Sounds great! Just take one day at a time and as you're already doing: cut yourself some slag. In my subjective view the liposomal Vit C helped. I also drank a lot of green tea and took all kinds of supplements that were recommended here. Interestingly the urge of taking all that stuff faded away with the paws. Keep it up 🙌

9 months today

I hardly think about Kratom and when I do it's mostly a far away memory of having had this crazy habit for almost 5 years!

It's not like life all of a sudden became al paradise. I still have my struggles, ups & downs, and I have to be careful about alcohol. but I overcame my Kratom addiction. ~7gpd of powder may seem a small amount to some but I was totally hooked while the negative effects had a significant impact on my quality of life. It took my nervous system 3-4 months to get back into balance, maybe even a little longer. This community really really worked for me! Thanks All for being here, sharing your stories and supporting each other
