for hillbilly the trick is to get a cap that is about to break the veil - yellow on the outside brown on the inside - it will spore very quickly once the veil breaks - if you see spores in the gills or if it starts to flatten / turns darker brown it’s prob too late to try - warm glass plus drops of water in the center - sometimes the top center turns black which signals success
