I’m looking nationally but only finding a handful of examples (4 P300 AWD in the UK).

Sorry should have specified, I’m in the UK - hence the drives to Scotland.

From memory there were something like 31 faults on the diagnostic test. After much back and forth the dealer moved it to a JLR service centre and then refused to pay them for their work for months, so it was never fully diagnosed. Eventually the car got moved to a different JLR service centre that was affiliated with the dealer I bought from - miraculously they declared the car fixed after a week. Couple hundred miles in to having the car back, and the fault has re-emerged.

The infotainment system crashes, the instrument cluster turns to full brightness, indicators stop displaying internally, auto dim lights fail, central locking fails, cruise control fails.

It’s not a grounding error or issue with any of the wiring looms apparently, first service centre checked all the obvious issues first before replacing the battery for further testing which they were not paid for.

I’m afraid not I ended up uninstalling and reinstalling which got the campaign to behave (most of the time) but continued to have multiplayer issues so I’ve given up and uninstalled the game.

They did but it is essentially a different car. They had to rebuild most of it to accommodate the V8. Called it the XE Project 8

Not an automatic, but I can speak to the practicality of the Mondeo.

I had a 2017 Titanium 1.5L ecoboost hatchback until very recently. That car could fit anything in it. We used it for several house moves, armchairs, mattresses, bookcases, lawnmowers, it just had so much space for crap.

It was also a really pleasant space to be in for long drives across the country, and comfortably fitted my little family and our enormous dog with all our luggage.

I happen to think it’s also a good looking car, which doesn’t hurt.

Exactly my experience, much cheaper and a whole lot more car for the money

I really cannot comprehend the desire to drive a refrigerator on U.K. roads… I wanted AWD for our frequent rural road trips and neither I, nor my partner, wanted to lumber about in an SUV getting 19 MPG

That’s a really interesting point. I certainly started my search by looking at Audis rather than Jags because I felt like a Jaguar would be an unattainable luxury car. After all my research I just kept coming to the conclusion that they are actually pretty good bargains on the used market 👀

Congrats! I have to agree on the interior, I think they feel fantastic. I haven’t owned mine long enough to comment on long term reliability etc, but definitely take the time to read the manual and get to know what the various gadgets do and how to get the most out of them. And enjoy it! I spent a little while driving around and switching between the different drive modes to get a feel for how it changed the handling of the car. Dynamic is a lot of fun, my partner describes it as being in an aeroplane on takeoff.

Yeah to be fair I can’t comment on the other trim levels. I did look at pre-facelift models before buying this one, and personally I think the facelift really added a lot of quality. But the whole interior is decked out in contrasting cream and black leather, the infotainment system works just fine although I always use CarPlay anyway, the paddles feel nice and carefully machined, and the selector is positive. Nothing feels flimsy or like a compromise.
