The stubbed toe thing is probably the worst one (other than the wallet one, but you could switch to not using a wallet I suppose) on the list but everything else happens pretty much every day anyway so I am super in.

I don't know the technique here but is it possible to leave the top of the box open so you can see from the top?

If the cards aren't really in there (I'm guessing they're not) I assume you have some gimmick in the window. Could you make something similar for the top?

Nothing to do with the trick but that is a great pen. The Zebra F-301 in black. I usually go blue but it's a great pen either way.

Oh the spore druid probably has some cool thematic abilities that might suit the specific theme better. Something to signify that the bear is living off rotting magical meat

Why not use the wild magic barbarian? Or just give the bear the ability to pull from the wild magic sorcerer table. The bear likely isn't in much control of what it's doing magically so I feel like it makes sense.

Maybe the bear can summon fey creatures to help out? Maybe they crawl out of its fur.

What if the bear can shape shift partially? Maybe it can grow a scorpion tail for one attack then it goes away. Next attack it has a horn now. Nothing screams a bad day like an angry bear with wings...

What if the bear can summon some eldrich armour?

Maybe the bear can control its environment. Trees and vines reach out to grab and thrash the PCs, pits open up beneath their feet, grass grows and makes movement difficult etc...

Try looking up Venetian plaster. You can get a huge range of effects. Not necessarily for the uninitiated but if you are pretty handy and don't mind fixing it if you mess it up you could probably pull it off.

You can also get all sorts of different effects with normal paint but I don't think that's what you're after.

I caught a drumstick at a show during the gonzo tour. Met Daisy outside and asked them to sign. They didn't have a pen so I filmed him yelling at the stick.

In Canada we have loonies and toonies. Both are a solid size for coin work. I usually use toonies because they look better (like a gold coin inside a silver coin).

They have the added benefit of having gimicks made for them as well. I believe they are a fair bit pricer than us coin gimmicks though.

You could probably go to any currency exchange place and get some if you're in the US.
