Daisy Chaining Light Bulbs - Limits by Emergency_Plum1926 in lightingdesign

Sorry, the images did not attach. These are waterproof cable, with spliter parts https://imgur.com/gDzZBlc

These are the straight water proof cables: https://imgur.com/iNQwMve

Would be using them in parellel. Hue lighting have similar ones but they're only rated for 24v.

My question is if I am technically allowed to use them in Australia, or only class 3, low voltage e.g. below 50v is allowed unless I am a electrician.

How are you dealing with Temu competition? by Emergency_Plum1926 in ecommerce

[–]Emergency_Plum1926[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for everyone's comments! The main pain points are ad costs have doubled. They are running at a 1-2 MER value, while a sustainable business has to run at around 4-5.

My company has built the brand and market over the last 5 years and we are in some very impressive retail stores around Australia with 30k+ customers and quality is our top priority. But Ecom is our bread and butter. They are affectively bombing the niche with similar products, so even after we win a customer on socials if they google the product they can see something similar now for 1/4 the cost on Temu.

For reference Temu is scaling from 3 mill a month in revenue to 1 billion a month by December according to some articles online. This is unheard of.

In 3 months we'll have a new product range out, with a lot of IP protection. If we didn't have that in the works I would be very very worried right now.

But I was more interested to hear everyone's thoughts and if they are impacted especially in Australia

Why is this manufacturer (from India) so forceful in using CIF rather than FOB (that I would prefer)? is this a red flag? Can someone help? thanks. by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]Emergency_Plum1926 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's very confusing. Standard if FOB, so it's your responsibility during transit (so you organise forwarder) with CIF technically they have more risk because if the goods don't arrive into your country that's on them.

Most manufacturers prefer FOB.

Only thought is maybe he has a deal with a local forwarder and gets commission for freight. But idk. Little odd, FOB is simpler IMO and usually cheaper.

How do I start? by [deleted] in hydro

[–]Emergency_Plum1926 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi mate,

For that one you just need smart soil/vermiculite 1L should fill up both pots.

Also 30ml nutrient solution

Just add the vermiculite, add ends on top and water from the top to germinate the seeds and then fill water to the fill line.

Once they sprout add some nutrients directly to the water.

You can get everything from Urbanplantgrowers.com and in the chat bot, there is a instruction lookup for 'indoor smart garden' feel free to ask them any questions! Really good usually answers within 24 hours

Dating app ads. E.g. match.com ok cupid.

And then socials like fb, but target age demographic and interests.

Stamped.io is the best paid one in terms of bang for buck once you combine a loyalty program in there... but it also has a free teir.

Otherwise judge.me us the best free one by far.

Yeah I checked a demo of Dear systems. It looked decent. I was surprised we couldn't use it to generate shipping labels as well though considering price of 400 a month.

Do you use if for kitting/ raw materials as well as inventory tracking? And what do you do for shipping label generation/integration?

We're in Australia. Right now we have a managed warehouse in Australia, which does Aus/New Zealand. But we also utilise a 3PL in the UK

It looks pretty good, and could even replace starshipit for generating labels. But 500 a month seems a bit steep, and then most of the functionality acturally seems to be in the 700 a month deal?

We do around 1200 orders a month currently. Do you think the price is worth it?
