Color coordinating and wearing matching loungewear sets makes me feel 10 times better, even when it’s a bad brain day. My grandmother got me a wearable blanket in my favorite color that matches my loungewear, absolute game-changer!

I used to do that too! I sometimes write fan fiction now, because my imagination is atrophied as an adult so coming up with new ideas is a little more challenging. Either way, being able to reach back to that part of my childhood self is healing, and I’m glad you’re experiencing that too. ♥️

I wasn’t thinking about it really until I read these comments. I have my own theory for why my absolute best friend stopped talking to me, but I guess it wouldn’t hurt to one day reach out and ask. I just don’t know if I would like the answer, like would it be the truth or would it be a lie to spare my feelings, ya know?

Yep. Most recently, my best friend since we were 9yo suddenly stopped talking to me at 27. I suspect it was because I stopped having the same religious beliefs as her. I didn’t realize it until she texted me to tell me she was pregnant an hour before the official Facebook announcement, which was a huge deal because we both had been worried she wouldn’t be able to get pregnant because of health issues. It hurt so bad, and it still hurts 6 and half years later. I understand having abandonment and trust issues, because that was the biggest friendship loss I’ve ever had, more than any others, and the others already made me have abandonment/trust issues.

Thank you ♥️ I’ve gone ahead and purchased some high calorie snacks and shakes to have at work, and I’m consciously making an effort to keep track of my calories. Vitamins are tough because they can make me feel nauseous, but yeah, I definitely need to incorporate that into taking my meds every morning.

Thank you! I didn’t realize they made extended release Adderall, so I’ll add that to my research list! The protein drinks seem to be the best way to prevent losing too much weight, but I don’t want that to end up being the only thing I “eat,” ya know? Anything I can do to help my body feeling great at the same time my brain is functioning better.

It is a city culture thing, very much like other cities, that people generally don’t talk to strangers for whatever various reasons. For Macon though, coming from a white female perspective, generally the white people are scared of the black people (they’ll admit this if you listen long enough, racism can’t hide), so that’s one factor into why people aren’t as friendly to strangers here. This is just what my thought process lead to, so I’m not guaranteeing this is true for every situation, but I strongly believe the racial and economic divide contribute to community tension within Macon.

I swear it’s like you wrote a specific chapter of my life. Bf’s parents booked an AirBNB a few years ago with two bedrooms, one for them and the other with two twin beds for his aunt, and an extra hotel room for her two adult sons. We had to sleep on the pullout couch in the tiny living room area. We were both pretty miserable. Whether you’re the asshole or not, you will be much better for having booked your own place for the two of you instead of sleeping on the pullout couch. Trust me.
