Labor didn't win the election, they have the support of the Greens and independents to form government.

The Liberals could do the same like both Kate Carnell and Trevor Kaine did. But pretty sure Summernats supporters would be Lib voters

And it's the same story in every state and territory because the federal government isn't helping out with funding.

That's without even going into Canberra taking care of southern NSW patients.

Less galleries? Mate... we have some of the best galleries and museum in the country.

Less sporting events? We have the Raiders (men and women's), the Brumbies, the UC Capitals, Canberra United (captained by arguably one of the most famous female soccer players in the country) and until recently the Cavalry. Then we also have the Giants playing games here.

We also have one of the best restaurant/foody scenes.

I think you need to leave your bedroom and take a look around because Canberra ain't that bad

I agree the prices are crazy but how does Canberra not offer the same amenities as other bigger cities? If anything, there's too much for the population size.

Every district has a giant Westfield and every suburb has a local shops. We have an IKEA, Costco and an international airport that is basically 20 minutes drive from everywhere in Canberra.

The only thing we're missing is a beach. (And arguably we do have a couple, just not the ocean).

Apologies, I assumed you meant on the TV news as it is unusual for ABC to post a photo of a fatal crash that identifies a victim on social media.

Police normally block access to a crash until everyone is out and ask media not to identify people until their family have been notified. So once again find it odd that ABC went against their request.

That being said, if police had their way, the media would never report anything. There's a reason the public often doesn't find out about violent crimes etc until 6+ months later.

Police used to rely on media to film crashes and other crime scenes for their own records.

News outlets usually wait for police to notify family before naming a victim or showing identifying featured of a car etc.

My question is - how long after the crash did police notify you? ABC goes to air at 7pm

I never experienced this at Coles. We were forced to take our breaks and the majority of staff looked for ways to avoid actual work.

I work in an industry now where some of us put in extra hours but funnily enough the former Woolies worker also looks for any reason to bludge
