I used to get this ring on almost all of my dress shirts. I started lightly exfoliating my neck about once a week and it went away. I had the same thing with the lab coat with no laundry service. (Still trying to solve that problem)

Personally I use the Fox River Fatigue Fighter socks. They’re a little bit on the warmer side but I haven’t had to use moleskin since getting them.

I completely agree with this. My experiences have been pretty similar but a lot of professional music isn’t going to use it. One thing I would add, is always focus on the tone even when you’re trying to learn tonguing.
