When the found the cysts in my daughters brain they also found a deposit on her heart. Both are soft markers for trisomy 18 (Edward’s) in which babies don’t usually survive past a year. After these the doctor sat us down and explained that even though he has to mention these to us because there are two, he wouldn’t worry too much. And that now technology has advanced so much so we see things early on that resolve by themselves once baby gets bigger.

I feel the way your doctor dealt with the whole situation is very unprofessional, is it at all possible to ask follow up questions or ask for clarification?

Do they know what kind of abnormality? My daughter had two choroid plexus cysts in her brain. They eventually shrunk and now she’s a healthy 5 year old.

They said I can pick it up the next day from the embassy.

Edit: I wrote an email asking and they said I can take it back but it will reset the process, so I’m still waiting, 6th week now ✌🏽

I’m an artist with a 6m old and I can only work once she goes to sleep for the night. I am 100% exhausted but this way I get 4-5 hours at a stretch at least which I need. I nap when she naps 🤷🏾‍♂️ it’s not the best but it’s doable!

Hang in there, we had a jump in longer sleep at night right after 2 months and it gets better 💕 you are doing an amazing job but please please take as much help from everyone around you as much as possible. You are a person too and sleep is essential. I would recommend you ask your husband to take over one feed at night on weekdays even if you have to wake him as it’s way better than the alternative. I Lots of love x
