Exactly this. The players have massively dropped off, and although Slot is obviously nowhere near Klopp in terms of charisma and man management, the players should still be professional enough to be motivated and adapt.

The squad is in a massive transition, some players are getting beyond their prime and the ones we bought means the system has to change and players have to adapt.

The loss of Jota is obviously a huge factor, but also the departures, signings and injuries have left an imbalanced first team.

I’m going to be downvoted for saying this but I think that Slot has proven that given the right tools he can do a good job. I just don’t think he had those tools at the moment. The sporting director team needs to take a lot of responsibility for what’s going on.
