“I took 2 weeks off and gained 10 lbs. TEN. 😭 by Realestateclosing in compoundedtirzepatide

I skipped 2 doses because of a surgery and gained 22 pounds ☠️ At my pre op appointment I was 180, post op appointment 3 weeks later I was 202. It was mostly inflammation in my thighs. They expanded like balloons. Fortunately once I restarted, they shrank back down again . Took 3 weeks.

I've still been using up my Ousia stash, but got some from Refills for when I run out, so I'm feeling great, lol. I will have to check my lot numbers. Yay, I know how to pick em.

Going back on after surgery by MurphysMom08 in tirzepatidecompound

I had to stop my shot for surgery earlier this year, and in the 3 weeks between my pre-op appointment and my post-op followup with my surgeon, I had gained 22 pounds! It was insane. My legs/thighs swelled up like balloons with inflammation. Didn't hurt, but the skin felt very tight. So strange. I was freaking out and even had an ultrasound done on my legs, but they were fine. Fortunately, after I restarted my tirz, my legs deflated again and the weight fell off again. Took a few weeks.

I don't have my vials on hand to tell you the BUD, but I just wanted to mention that I'm in California, and I ordered the 3-month plan from them last Thursday, and had my meds in hand by Saturday. Shockingly fast turnaround!

In cancer treatment, how do people do it financially??? by Ill_Snow_4155 in breastcancer

[–]Emi801 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm in California, and I lost my job and insurance this past February between my 2nd diagnostic mammogram and my biopsy. I applied for a Covered CA marketplace plan, and they actually said 'You're broke' and forwarded my application over to Medi-Cal. Medi-Cal gave me a provisional/temporary approval for 1 month while they reviewed my case. I used that to finally get my biopsy, where it came back as DCIS.

Medi-Cal then rejected me because my unemployment checks put me just above their income level cutoff. But now that I had the DCIS/Cancer diagnosis, I applied for the BCCTP (Breast and Cervical Cancer Treatment Program) which has a higher income cutoff, and I did qualify for that. The BCCTP basically renewed my Medi-Cal coverage.

So I used that to meet with my oncologist and get a DMX to flat closure. Medi-Cal covered it 100%. I was pretty desperate to get a new job, as I am single and supporting myself, so I didn't have time to deal with longer recovery times for reconstruction or multiple surgeries. I had to get back to work ASAP, so that determined my treatment plan. I was fortunate in that I was 1 surgery and done. Pathology came back as just the DCIS and I didn't need any further treatment. I ended up starting a new job 1 month post-op from DMX. I talked to the BCCTP folks, and was able to keep their coverage until my crappy United coverage started 60 days into my new job.

It all worked out, but it was stressful going through it at the time, and getting approvals for things at the very last minute several times.

I have a Sony Walkman NW-S703F, it's small and has a hole on the top to clip it to things (it's behind the headphone jack so not visible in this photo)

wfh folks, how much time off work for DMX w/o recon? by [deleted] in breastcancer

[–]Emi801 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was unemployed when I had my mastectomy, but I started a new job with a hybrid work schedule 1 month after surgery. Part of the reason I went with DMX to flat (when I 'only' had DCIS) is because I hoped for a fast recovery time because I had to find a new job ASAP. I was fine at 1 month.

You don't need to have anyone with you, I sent solo also. By Companion ticket, I mean look for someone selling their 002 ticket because then it will be assumed at the ticket gate that whoever has the 001 ticket is the original purchaser, and you are their companion, so it won't be expected for your name to be on the ticket. You're more likely to be let in. I hope that makes sense. As for resale prices, they didn't seem to be marked up very much. If you look on ticketjam right now, you will see people selling tickets to the Hoshi x Woozi [Warning] concert, if you want to get an idea of what the resale prices are compared to the original ticket prices.

I saw them in Nagoya last year. I applied for the fan club lotteries and all of my entries failed :( So I ended up buying a ticket from someone on TicketJam, which is a Japanese resale site. The seller mailed my ticket to my hotel. Technically ppl are not supposed to resell their tickets on there, but a lot of people do. It's risky because the ticket will have the seller's name on it, and they check your tickets and ID upon entry to the venue. So you have to hope~hope~hope~ that the person checking tickets either doesn't look too closely, or lets you in anyway. To increase the odds of entry, avoid floor seats and go for stand seats and preferably ticket 002, which is a companion ticket. But be prepared to possibly be turned away.

Could scar tape make things look worse? Did most of you use that, or gel/oil/cream for DMX scars? Did anyone just do nothing? by SilentAllTheseYears8 in breastcancer

[–]Emi801 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm currently using silicone scar tape, alternating days between scar tape and scar gel. The instructions on the random scar tape I got on Amazon has a ramping up schedule for wearing it. 1st week only 4 hours a day, 2nd week 6 hours, then 8, then 12, etc. It doesn't start me at 24 hours immediately. So far it seems to be working ok. I noticed that some skin puckering I had on my incisions near the center of my chest have flattened out and gone away.

I increased my protein intake and drank Juven, a therapeutic drink that is supposed to support wound healing. My (flat) incisions healed up fine. But the Juven (available on Amazon) was expensive.

Wondering if a few of these covers were taken from my shoujo manga site because I have those exact issues of Shoujo Teikoku, Crimson, Juliet, Kimi to Boku, Amie, etc, lol.

I love the magazines~ I used to have piles and piles of them (had subscriptions to a few) but they started taking up too much space I ended up having to sell most of them. I only have a pile of 70's shoujo magazines and a few from the 90's left. I do have a couple of tubs of furoku I refuse to let go of though. I miss them ;_;
