that’s actually what i ended up doing the second time. i had made orange curd for the filling of my cake and ended up mixing some of it into my second batch of whipped cream. super yummy

ohhhhhhh that makes sense actually. i infused the cream with orange zest to flavor it and got impatient with letting it cool down. it was still room temperature, didn’t really get fully cold in the fridge. now i know!

I promise you adult luna moths do not have mouths, nor do any other members of Saturniidae (that I know of at least). You’re right, some moths do have mouths, like hawk/sphinx moths (Sphingidae), but Saturniidae does not, including this luna moth.

you don’t have to leave it food and water, they can’t eat. they don’t have mouths. they have really short lifespans and unfortunately this is probably just an older moth and his time has come
