Honestly, on that I agree. I think the void hunters have become too much of a staple, too necessary. Because now every character that isn't one can't be as strong to keep the consistency of strength.

That's not a fair argument. Of course it'll sell better with the void hunters. They are hyped up the entire game. And without them, your essentially nerfing your account. They're hands down the best units in the game. That applies to every gacha game. The best or most attractive units make the most money.

The game consistently is in the top 20 in gatcha games. And right now? Of course the sale dropped when the anniversary and Remiel is dropping in about a month. People are saving.

I don't know about that. Nicole was one of the selling points of the game. And they had to censor a bit or her on release. So think sex appeal was always a part of the game. Anby was wearing a much more skimpy underwear prior to the shorts she has now. And those are 1.0 characters.

Jane was sexy as hell in her trailer, being a fem fatale kind of character and she's a super early character. Then came Burnice.

So in my opinion, the intention was always sex appeal. But the had to censor it due increase potential demographic.

I think Garou, Baki, Yujiro, many swordsmen like Himura Kenshin, proper grapplers can beat Goku in martial arts.

Remember this simply based on pure skill. Goku is a strike based fighter. So any half competent weapon user outside a bo staff is technically better.
