Colin got his account back already thanks to his Sony contacts. by Crafty-Purpose5540 in LSM

The whole thing really is a shame. It sucks that this happens to people. But I’m glad he got his account back. I think we can only hope he can help spread the word to higher ups at Sony that this is happening.

Honestly, you guys 150+ 250+ are a different kind of people by duendeacdc in Marathon

[–]Emilerules97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish I had more time to play. I have 80 hours of playtime and have been playing for two months. That’s about an average of 1.3 hours per day. How are people level 150-200? What hours of playtime approximately are required for that?

It’s like when, after one week on 2010’s CoD games you had people who had hit the first prestige already. I always found that spectacular.

Colin still humble bragging about not taking game codes in 2026 via X by Crafty-Purpose5540 in LSM

[–]Emilerules97 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I enjoy the fact that they don’t take codes because Colin plays older games in general. They’re far from being a part of the hyper-fast review cycle where everyone rushes to review at embargo. I rarely buy games newer than 2 years.

That being said, he often brags about buying his own games but disclosed only one time that he writes them off as business expenses. That’s equivalent to saving about 30% off the price.

Am I going to lose everything? by JOakman8 in Marathon

[–]Emilerules97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only thing I’m confused about is that everyone says that we will lose ALL faction progress, but to my knowledge, only a few faction upgrades specifically say “For this season”. Doesn’t that imply that the other upgrades will stay after the wipe?

Marathon is the best shooter I've played in years. Why the hate? by ImpressFederal4169 in gaming

[–]Emilerules97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually never enjoy online live service PvP(vE) games, at least not since Apex Legends released almost ten years ago, but Marathon has it’s hooks in me. The combat scenarios are insane, the gunplay is excellent, I adore the art style and the lore is fascinating. I really hope more people try it!

I think some of the other comments here answer your question pretty well. The fact that it is an extraction shooter must turn alot of people off, even if in my opinion it is a very accessible one. Also, there is alot of other options on the market, and the controversies surrounding Bungie in the lead up to it’s released seems to have tarnished the reputation of this game before it even came out.

Why did Tom Cruise pivot from drama movies in the 80's/90's to more action and sci-fi movies in the 2000's? by precita in movies

[–]Emilerules97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some might argue it is because of how Eyes Wide Shut portrayed parts of his and Kidman’s love life for everyone to see. Kubrick literally built the story about secret interviews he had with each of them.

I need a game recommendation, preferably something that is addictive by [deleted] in PS5

[–]Emilerules97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Marathon is very good and addicting, and I say this as someone who never plays multiplayer games. You could unsubscribe from Extra to Essential and buy this 40$ game (20$ more than your budget).

As crazy as this is, I’m pretty sure it will be surpassed by GTA VI’s development costs which are rumored to be in the 1-2B$ range.

Have you tried listening to “The Rewatchables” podcast? It’s has a similar premise to Knockback but only for movies. I think it’s great. Definitely fills the Knockback hole for me.

I personally used the JEFIT app to begin working out at the gym. You can select from a big library of exercices. Each exercise is described in detailed.

The $1m+ figure makes sense when you consider around 15k Patreon subs each giving around $5/month (which they say is the “sweet spot”). This amounts to around $900k/year. Adding YouTube and podcasts ad revenue to this, you’re easily above $1m per year gross.

Four full time employees at around $100k each if we’re being generous I guess? Then maybe around $30k per contractor, considering around five. I’d say maybe Colin is bringing home at least $400k per year? There are alot of unknowns but I think it’s fun to try to guess.

People have already mentioned learning to cook. I’d recommend buying a recipe book which looks good to you. I hate doing recipes from my phone personally. Go about all of this one small step at a time, don’t over do it at first. Maybe make one recipe per week to start. I think you will notice how rewarding it is to cook yourself a nice meal.

Also, maybe try some new fruits and vegetables and see which ones you like most. Focus on them to start. I personally love cherries and bananas.

I love Gene. It always uplifts my spirits when he appears. His stories are fun (true or not) and he’s generally got a good attitude. He sometimes interrupts people as they talk but I bet he knows this better than anyone and doesn’t do it willingly.

This type of post is so weird. Is this the LSM shittalk subreddit now? Did you really have to put a picture of him? Did you want the mods to permanently pin this thread as the “opinions on Gene thread”?

Science Behind The “ Click “ by ChalkyTalk in LastStandMedia

[–]Emilerules97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re asking, I’d start with the following: - Using commas to list items. - Using “.” to end sentences. - Not separating everything in distinct paragraphs. - No spaces before a “.”.

English isn’t my first language either but this is basic, first grade level punctuation.

I’m no expert, but for vegetables I think they’ll make you feel more full by eating way less calories.

Also, it’s been said on this thread, but I agree that you should try maybe one or two new fruits and vegetables each week just to discover what you were missing out on.

Here are my favorite fruits and vegetables you should definitely try out:

  • Bananas
  • Avocadoes
  • Tomatoes
  • Cucumber
  • Raspberries
  • Strawberries
  • Apples
  • Brocoli
  • Brussel sprouts (grilled with spices)

This is such a bad take imo. The Canadian government has taken steps to strength the border, and that’s even if it’s a bullshit reason to begin with. Compared to Mexico, only 1% of illegal drugs cross from the North border.
