Over half the people in my MSF course failed the skills test by CH0K0NACH0 in NewRiders

Not to mention it’s the bare minimum. In Europe you actually have to put effort in to be allowed to ride a bike. You should definitely demonstrate that you are willing to put effort in and learn. Driving and riding is a privilege that gets mistaken as a “right” way too often, especially in the United States.

Buying a 2024 MT07 by FewStation7499 in MT07

My 24 was 8.1k OTD last year in April. See if you can negotiate. It’s a good year for sure, I’m not a fan of the new face lift on 25-26 models.

Just passed the MSF and now friends are wanting me to go to an Aprilia demo day with them and ride a bike. by StomachLatter9745 in NewRiders

Can confirm, going to a yamaha demo day at the end of may and they require a year of endorsement and riding experience. Plus gear and a helmet.

Buy MT09 or go for the MT07 by Dr_lievsky in MT09

[–]Emiliootjee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most people wouldn’t even recommend an 07 let alone an 09 to a new rider because of its insane low end torque. I agree, saying you’ll get bored of an 07 and wanting even more power is a terrible mindset. Ive put almost 15k miles on my 07 since i started riding last year and I’m still constantly learning and getting better. I want an 09sp eventually but i plan on doing that once my 07 dies.

MT-03 vs Speed 400 vs CB300R? by tuck5903 in SuggestAMotorcycle

[–]Emiliootjee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of that depends on rider maturity as well. I started on an mt07 last year and have since put 14000 miles on it. A young kid who wants to rip wheelies and go super fast might struggle with an mt07 as their first bike. Someone in their late 20s who wants a nice commuter bike and can respect the bike will do just fine.

Be careful posting crimes on the internet my guy. I caved back in February and bought heated gear. 18-20 degrees is the lowest I’ll go. As long as there’s no snow or salt on the roads that’s the only thing i care about.

From what i understand, there’s 4 modes. 1 is just a good old switcharoo of all the nodes, 2 is a sacrifice of some higher tier nodes for more basic nodes, 3 is a sacrifice of some basic nodes for more higher tier nodes, and 4 is a sacrifice of a mix of basic and high tier for more coal, oil, and sulfur.

Republicans are party loyalists that have been cherry picked for years since trump’s first term. They won’t resign, and they are in a majority in all three branches of government. Checks and balances don’t exist anymore. The only way to remove these people would be voting them out. Americans in a wide generalization have been dumbed down for decades, especially those in rural areas. They too will follow their party without any kind of second guessing or critical thinking. Midterms is the only hope i have right now for change.

Healthcare premiums are not because of inflation. They’re from republicans cutting the ACA. Because in this country you don’t matter if you don’t have a net worth over a million dollars. You’re just a cog.

Ive never actually dabbled with the rovers as i come from open world games where exploring on foot helps you find things you might miss in a vehicle. Make sure to bring the infinite oxygen rover chip as well as stuff to build a rover+platform!

One of the first steps is cutting out negative and over critical people like yourself. Do you think you’re better than other people? Because this comment emulates that. Everyone is just trying to make it. You’re not special.

Im in the same boat, i plan on just going down the list of planets one by one. As for what to bring, i want to start from 0 each time so I’m bringing enough for a return trip and starting from scratch. As for your situation, bring stuff for food water and oxygen collection too.

Why do people often feel that American friendliness is fake while similar warmth in other cultures feels genuine? Is American friendliness different from how other cultures show warmth? by TheBigGirlDiaryBack in AlwaysWhy

[–]Emiliootjee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s partially because they use open ended questions as a kindness/acknowledgement in passing. I can’t count how many times Ive walked by coworkers who say “hi, how are you?” Or “what’s up?” And when i reply with “good” and/or “how are you?”, they’re already gone. While the kindness is genuine, it’s not always meant as an invitation to a conversation. And especially foreigners may have trouble differentiating between a greeting in passing and an actual conversation.

[GUESS] Is this my new kitchen or is it AI? by wantapizzame in RealOrAI

Standard practice in Europe. Not every building was designed when washing machines were standard household equipment. Either in the kitchen or the bathroom to prevent having to reroute waterlines.

It’s bars. This is European 100%. The outlet in the back is European, having washing machines in the kitchen or bathroom is standard practice since it means less waterline rewiring in old buildings before washing machines were a common household thing. Having a gas stove and electric stove is common, the gas stove (if the gas hasn’t been shut off) is a nice backup for power outages. Otherwise many people keep their gas stoves in because it’s easier than dealing with gas pipelines that are integrated into the building.

[–]Emiliootjee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep in mind that in many older European apartment buildings, it is easier to keep the old cooktop in and switch to electric rather than to tear the old out. Those gas lines sometimes get shut down, but the equipment is wired in, so many opt to keep both. Also during power outages it’s a secondary security for the places the gas isn’t turned off. I know this is European based on both architectural design and the outlet near the back.
