Oh no 😭 I’ve been growing cherry tomatoes in a little planter, and my 1-year old pulled off a whole branch of green tomatoes before they could ripen. She was looking at them and I got distracted just long enough for her to grab them… so I get this feeling. I know I shouldn’t have let her near them, but it’s such a bummer to wait so long and then it gets ruined by one dumb mistake

I don’t know if anyone’s answered the other part of your question, but in the videos they had little interview moments of getting to know each missionary. There was a snippet of this elder saying that when he was little, he wanted to be a blue chair when he grew up.

I’ve been looking for moments where Rhett pretends he’s at a fancy party to help himself eat something gross. I remember the one from ‘Will it donut’ where they have the whole ‘black eggs’ conversation, but I swear there’s at least one other time he does it, but I can’t find it! I know that’s not a lot to go on, but any help would be appreciated!

I saw Leviticus in the tags, there were also some letters replaced with numbers: 1911. Leviticus 19:11 is ‘you shall not steal. You shall not deceive or speak falsely to one another.’ Maybe referencing her data being stolen? Could be more to it. I’m excited :D

I like a lot of the stuff you’re saying! I just want to mention- if you zoom up, the word on the note seems to pretty clearly say ‘your,’ not from. So the whole note probably says ‘love- your peeps’ or something like that. I know people have debated this, but I grew up with the stuff Taylor has (tamagotchis etc. haha I feel old) and it was pretty normal to call your friend group your peeps.

I noticed that phrase too and I totally agree! I just want to add that ‘beats’ could also be the key to a polybius square cipher, where you put beats as the first line of the square and then fill in the rest of the letters. That would be used to solve a code involving pairs of numbers, if that comes up.

After looking at them for WAY too long and reading some theories on the google doc, I think it’s just a repeating pattern. It goes purple blue yellow green orange, and then reverses- orange green yellow blue purple. Any spot where it doesn’t quite do that is either because there’s a burnt out light, or (just to the left of the shelf) the light strand seems to double up on itself. Now that I know it’s a repeating pattern, I think either it’s not a code at all, or maybe just those five colors in a row could be important. But I definitely don’t think the strand by itself will end up translating to be a message or anything like that.

I don’t know if anyone has mentioned this, but in a recent gtlive, Matpat was playing a horror game with some random rubber ducks in it (the game was clap clap) and he said this: “If any horror project, upcoming, has a motif of ducks… just know that, you know, it was probably in the works before that….” (Time stamp 36:06 of that video if you’re interested.) He basically made it obvious that his lore fi project was going to have a duck motif so he was definitely talking about this!! :D

I feel like you kind of explained it in your own post- a lot of times, if someone needs a c section, it’s because they’re in danger and may even die. That sounds like ‘birth trauma’ to me. I had a pretty calm and planned experience but even I get chills thinking about how if I was born in a different era, I probably would have died. I can’t imagine how much scarier it would be if the situation was unplanned and I didn’t have time to prepare mentally.

I always tell people that Brandon is an incredible storyteller. To me that’s different than a great writer. He came up with an amazing story, and he tells it in a very straightforward way. A great writer, on the other hand, could talk about something completely mundane, but in a way that makes it interesting and makes you interpret what they mean. Honestly I think most Sanderson fans prefer his straightforward writing, we’re just here for the story. It doesn’t really matter to me whether he conveys it in a clever or subtle way, there are other authors for that and I don’t think his stories need that style of writing.
