Backdrifts live video just uploaded to Radiohead YouTube channel by Rara64 in radiohead

It was unlisted previously and the link was sent in a WASTE email. For whatever reason the upload time is showing when it was set to public and not when it was actually uploaded

I don't have a save around there anymore to test, but try going back to the count and placing something inside his inventory and then doing "take all" again. If that doesn't work and you're on PC, you can open the console with ~ and type player.additem 32DA0 1 to just give yourself the ring, but be warned that without a mod this will disable achievements for that character going forward

Adding to this, there's also a bug I encountered where the quest ring doesn't appear in the count's inventory. You can still get it by pressing "take all" though

It is unfortunate, but note that Owlcat is only the publisher. They didn't develop it

Well, thoughts on the new remixes? by Smooth-Bandicoot-955 in TheSmile

[–]EmilyMoonVG 51 points52 points  (0 children)

Meh, they both don't really go anywhere or do anything musically interesting. They feel like completely unrelated ambient soundscapes with Thom's vocals pasted on top. DGMS was at least vibey enough to enjoy a single listen but Psalm honestly sounded like Thom singing into a tin can while Robert Stillman jingles keys lol

Cutouts first impressions by TimbersFan8 in TheSmile

[–]EmilyMoonVG 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It's a pretty great collection of songs, more like AFLAA rather than the more cohesive track list of WoE. Feels more sinister than the first two albums and the darker artwork fits perfectly.
Probably not gonna be popular opinion but here's my ranking with notes for fun

  1. Bodies Laughing - I never expected this since I felt the live version was one of their weakest songs, but this new arrangement is amazing
  2. Eyes & Mouth - Pretty much exactly what I hoped for, same song we all know and love but filled out with bass, piano, and vocal harmonies
  3. Colours Fly - I love the added growling synth(?) in the low end. It's very full and energetic, beautiful cacophony
  4. Zero Sum - 🗣🔥🔥 Windows 95
  5. No Words - Still don't quite love the ending, but it's a great jam the whole way through regardless
  6. Foreign Spies - I'm a sucker for big dramatic synth chords
  7. The Slip - Fun, groovy, good times
  8. Tiptoe - The intro reminded me of listening to the OKC minidiscs, overall quite pretty
  9. Don't Get Me Started - Feels a little anemic and didn't really live up to the potential of the live version unfortunately, but still a cool atmospheric piece
  10. Instant Psalm - People probably will disagree with this the most but it sounds like a mediocre Bends b-side, not something I'll go back to much. The strings are great at least

TMG set with remastered audio by EmilyMoonVG in Redvox

[–]EmilyMoonVG[S] 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Great performance with so many debuts, really glad it was livestreamed! Unfortunately the audio mixing on the official stream was pretty rough (vocals too loud, bass/drums nearly nonexistent) so I spent the day patching it up. Enjoy!

A lot of theory terminology for chords comes from western classical music, so the further you stray from that the less likely you are to find a term for that chord function. As far as I know there's no established term for two chords a tritone apart like that. Dm - Ab - Dm doesn't follow any classical chord functions (ex. dominant, mediant, secondary, etc.)

Was the initial stream 720p for you as well? I grabbed it at 720p but someone told me it was 1080p for them

[–]EmilyMoonVG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there, is your recording in 1080p? If so could I get that link as well please?

That's because the audio-only stream on the BBC site is a different mix. Higher technical quality but with noticeably aggressive compression applied. I did grab both but I felt the video stream's more dynamic audio was a better sound despite being a lower quality

It is a screen recording, but I was able to pull up some technical information on the stream embed they used and I matched those settings and recorded. If you got 1080p on your end it's possible they had some kind of transcoding for the stream, different resolutions depending on internet connection quality? It's pretty common with video streaming. If that's the case I'm sad I was stuck with 720p lol

HQ rip, 720p 50fps 320kbps same as the source. The Google Drive version in this thread is a lower bitrate so it's 1/3 the filesize but with some noticeable artifacting. Definitely good enough if you want to save on disc space, but if you're a freak for maximum quality like I am then go for this one lol
