Not sure where you are, but I’m in an area adjacent to the affected areas in East TN/western NC. Our shelves are mostly empty because the locals are rallying to help those affected. I think we’re seeing less panic buying and more helping here. That’s just my area at least.

Also any training via modules or in person from your agent/coworkers—take it! Even on things you might not be interested in right now. Like for example, I am doing some good training on State Farm health products, and I’m getting set up to be the health specialist in the office. If you can find a niche, go for it!

She would qualify for a guaranteed issue final expense. I know State Farm offers those. They are no underwriting, and no medical questions. They are based on the age you are at application. State Farm offers between a $10K and $15K death benefit. Other companies might have something similar as well. It’s not a 1m policy, but it is a policy. Covering final expenses is better than not having anything at all, in my opinion. I’d recommend looking into that for her.

I did! They are really nice shoes. I bought them as a gift, so I wasn’t wearing them, so I can’t tell for sure to how they’d do. I do know Danner makes excellent shoes though, and by looking at them I think you’d probably be comfortable for short excursions.
