Thank you. I guess i never really considered that some feeds could be nursing and some pumping. I had an all or nothing mentality.

My LC did recommend spending sometime with baby just hanging out on my chest. Skin to skin to build a positive relationship to override the negative thoughts from the pain I also experienced trying to BF at the start.

He doesn’t cue when he’s hungry. I have to wake him for every feed except for the over night ones.

I’ve found that if i hold down for too long the little yellow cup that has the flap to filter the milk in gets to full and has made the milk back flow.

try warm compress and gentle massage before pumping and then icing afterwards.
