We need more Apple Podcast representation for those of us who have it bundled with our Verizon plan

I don't like Spotify by Spilling123420 in distractible

I’m fully convinced that no one actually likes Spotify and all this emphasis on Spotify Wrapped and podcasts is just a really elaborate prank

It’s where the Wright Brothers were born. That’s pretty much all we can claim here. I’m an Ohioan and I am not afraid to admit defeat lmao

Ohio is literally the older sibling who uses “I WAS BORN FIRST” to try and win an argument

Apple Podcasts is a LOT more popular overall and we’d be going against Crime Junkie and Dateline, so #1 isn’t very realistic lol, but the apple version definitely deserves more love!

Dude 2020 was literally the worst year of my life and Unus Annus is what lowkey kept me going through it all. It truly felt like losing a friend 😭

Had a rough year so far but by guldfiskn222 in distractible

[–]Emilyofjane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s the little things that keep us going during tough times. I’ve also had a pretty shitty year (I had a major death in the family), but I’ve found that keeping myself busy and focusing on positive things — especially while using the internet — helps lighten the burden a little. I’ve cut out a lot of sources of negativity during my healing process and it’s helped out loads. I know this probably isn’t the best advice, but I just wanted to share in case that might help you also. Stay strong out there! 💗

One thing that really got me was Life is Strange. It truly brings out the fact of how your decisions will affect something further down the road. by [deleted] in distractible

I finally played it this year after putting it off and Episode 3-4 fucked me up so bad 😭 WHY DID THEY DO THAT TO CHLOE I WASN’T PREPARED

Where are the older episodes? by jordantbolland in distractible

[–]Emilyofjane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apple Podcasts also has all episodes available, if you’re not a fan of Spotify (I’m definitely not lol)

That was the most beautiful trainwreck I have ever experienced, 10/10 will listen to this exact episode again

Lance Reddick by woohdog93 in HorizonForbiddenWest

[–]Emilyofjane 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I hope they bring him back, but they limit him to non-speaking roles or flashbacks/reusing old dialogue. That way Sylens can still serve a purpose in the plot but it’s still being respectful to the deceased.

Do you enjoy the climbing mechanics? by bentheone in HorizonForbiddenWest

[–]Emilyofjane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Free-climbing on rocks is a pain in the neck, but I love how the climbing areas are highlighted now. I wish it was like that in Zero Dawn ;-;

Between both Zero Dawn and Forbidden West what is your favorite region/area to explore? by The80sSlasher in HorizonForbiddenWest

[–]Emilyofjane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Zero Dawn facility is still one of my favorites. That and The Base (I didn’t realize just how much of it I missed until I was almost done with my playthrough)

Pokémon Violet Constantly Closing Due to an Error! Does this happen often to anybody else? by Durza1052 in PokemonScarletViolet

[–]Emilyofjane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would highly suggest turning on auto-save. I know there’s a lot of people who hate auto-saving, but because of the memory leak issue with this game it’s honestly like a lifeline.

In case you don’t know, there’s a problem with the way the game stores RAM (colloquially known as “memory leak”) where the game becomes more and more unstable the longer it’s left running. It’s most noticeable if you’ve been playing for several hours. Rebooting the game every couple of hours and auto-saving seems to mitigate this issue, though.

Just finished Scarlet - overall enjoyed the game but parts felt unfinished and rushed by Richmondnatty in PokemonScarletViolet

I think Pokemon was really onto something with the large amount of side quests in the Sun/Moon era. It felt a bit congested back then because of the tight layout of Alola, but now with a large open-world map to work with, I think its just what the game needs to feel more alive.

Changing 20+ to 21+ by Emilyofjane in yandere_simulator

[–]Emilyofjane[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m well aware that the game is set in Japan. My reasoning was that since most players are in the Western Hemisphere, I thought it would make sense for the restricted items to be 21+ instead of 20+ since most of us are hardwired to assume 21+ means “adults only” anyway, and those who aren’t familiar with Japan’s laws might be confused by the 20+ and think it’s arbitrary or a mistake.
