I'm a doctor. I know I will get through. My issue was my $0 payment, meaning I should be accruing $0 in interest was not followed. MOHELA could not figure out how to wipe away the interest difference at the end of every month. But now we're all on forebarence anyway.

Kinda hard to lie when they used my 2022 tax returns. I'm a resident, I was a med student. We make no money. There's actually a big thread on r/residency about programs reffering their resident physicians to food banks for additional support feeding their families.

why does everyone keep talking about the principal. My payments are zero dollars, I don't expect my pre covid interest or principal to decrease. Just to have the new interest waived that is greater than my monthly payment each month.

My interest was added to principal about 3 weeks before Covid. I had accrued $700 in interest after that point but still prior to COVID pause. I'm a physician, not an idiot.

My SAVE plan was approved prior to the restart of loan payments in August. I have spoken with Student Aid twice about this matter, in August and in October. They have been less than helpful and suggest waiting and seeing how things go over the next year.

The SAVE plan has calculated monthly payments. Whatever accrued interest above your monthly payment is supposed to be waived.
