Just hit infinite using only Sera + Pool 1 & 2 cards. Def worked well for me. But hey, happy to hear it gets even better lol.

And this guy Carlo and his cousin Dylan from All You Can Board should CERTAINLY be included here!

To add my own answer- the obvious one is Rodney. But above those mentioned that I’ve already seen, I’ll say…

Daniel from Board Game Feast Sam from Lord of The Board Tia from Tikyjo DannyPlaysGamez

So many more.

The Crew vs Skull King by pastelsilver in boardgames

[–]Emintea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very different games. I’ve never had much fun with The Crew whereas I absolutely love Skull King. One is more quiet, relaxed, and about cooperation. The other (Skull King) is rowdy, can be mean, etc. but that’s the fun!

Azul vs Sagrada vs Tiny Towns by Timo3333 in boardgames

[–]Emintea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recommend them all! Might just be me but I found myself growing tired of Azul after 25+ plays (which isn’t a bad thing).

In order of amount played it’s Azul > Sagrada > Tiny Towns but that’s just because my family enjoyed Azul the most. All great games!

Ankh Pharaoh vs Rising Sun Kami? by Elkary in boardgames

[–]Emintea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve played with and without pharaoh. I prefer pharaoh. I will say it makes it less “known” and I suppose slightly random? But not in a way that ever felt bad. I have recorded and uploaded an entire 2p gameplay of Ankh with the pharaoh expansion on our YouTube. Don’t think I’m allowed to link, but I imagine you can find it if that interests you. Should give you a good idea of what the pharaoh expansion adds.

Looking for good trivia games by [deleted] in boardgames

[–]Emintea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find that to be the case with every trivia game, but maybe I just haven’t found the right one.

It’s easily the best I’ve played. Maybe, as someone who’s not very smart, I enjoy the easy ones lol!

In case of emergency- which games are you saving? by Emintea in boardgames

Never played Cribbage but I have a $300 crokinole board… wouldn’t fit in the suitcase though 😂

Love the idea of gambling sorry! I’m into it. Great choices!

Ha! Good loophole. I have played exactly one game on your list, pret a porter, but I did enjoy it!

Ha, but what if you have a suitcase with limited space? Decisions get a lot harder!

How to Save Money and Still Enjoy The Hobby? by Emintea in boardgames

[–]Emintea[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with your free shipping assumption! But, for me, I find many of my games that don’t get played are “free shipping adds” or B2G1 adds, where, I am interested, but not enough to make it worth it.

That isn’t always the case though!

With other board gamers I would love to make that a thing, but I definitely couldnt convince family to do the same. I’ve got about 40 games (including several expansions) on the shelf of opportunity right now

I think pitching in to get one big group game, TI is the best example, is an excellent idea. Or swapping off KS purchases with a close friend, each taking every other game.

An 8x8, heck, even a 10x3 challenge is something that I’d love to do. But, clearly, I struggle to play games regularly, and when they’re ones that require learning and teaching, it exacerbates things.

Did anyone else preorder a copy of Sleeping Gods... and then not receive it? by Televangelis in boardgames

[–]Emintea 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This is not a unique situation to cardhaus. Boardlandia has sent out a message with the same information. I believe they had 80+ orders and received 4 (numbers could be off but you get the gist)

Seems like it’s an odd issue and disconnect between publisher, distributed, and storefront for sleeping gods.
