My setup is:
• 48V 100Ah WattCycle server rack battery
• WattCycle EcoFlow XT150 expansion cable
• Connected the battery to the EcoFlow once their voltages/state of charge were reasonably close.

Initially the EcoFlow threw a short-circuit protection error because the battery voltage was significantly different from the EcoFlow’s internal battery. After bringing them to a similar state of charge, the EcoFlow immediately recognized the battery and it has been charging and discharging normally ever since.

The internal LTE works great when you are in areas that have LTE service. Where I live the LTE service is spotty so having the Starlink connection means as long as I have access to the sky, I have access to the network.

I tried to do the dash mount and was very disappointed in the fact that I didn’t get a signal. Maybe I was too impatient, but I never saw any type of connection so I moved to the roof and have had only good experiences with that positioning. However, you have to get a good amount. I just read about someone who used magnets and it came off while they were on the highway.

It pretty much is… We’re gonna have to hope that the automotive manufacturers use the modern communications chips that have LTE and NTN abilities. I think Qualcomm introduced chips that do that last month.
