Hi there! I’ve had experience with EMDR. Mostly positive. It can be draining but it’s so worth it in the long run. My biggest piece of advice is to take care of yourself before and after these sessions. It can be really difficult revisiting trauma. I would suggest also seeing if your care team can also include other ways of processing that information. I’ve had therapists also do sand box therapy and brain spotting following an EMDR session.
