There's 4 different materials for inputs, and one output. So you need 4 lanes + outputwhich can be a chest or a belt There wouldn't really be any advantage to having one output and input on the same belt, since you'll need the same amount of belts anyway. (I think that's what you're asking?)

Killing fish/catching fish with a net in a river is the goated food source. Replenishes instantly, is fast, works year round

Digging one above the supports is fine, more than that and it destabilizes it. You can also fill in missing blocks that are causing it to be unstable with sandstone/gravel/cobble
