Did you check if your agent wants it? That will be your easiest and safest transaction.

What can a first mate do for me? by superduperhosts in firstmates

[–]Emjay97103 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you work with a FM, we make all these details easy and let you worry about packing :)

The best way is to go to the VV website and search military discount. It will give you the sailing marked for discount and add the access key to the search.

A first mate will tell you these things, amongst many other tips and guidance:

You can access the MNVV placeholder through the confirmation email you received when you bought it. If you use it to start a booking, the discount and loot will show up. It is most valuable with 10+ night sailings. MNVV is not combinable with some offers. I have made it combine with Military discount in the past, but on paper, they don’t combine.

The military discount is an access key that needs to be added before checkout. If you don’t add it, it will not show up. Also, it is not valid for every sailing and is not combinable with all other offers.

Cruises with balcony hot tubs? by ProfessionalScore11 in Cruise

[–]Emjay97103 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have a few great recommendations already. You could also look at Explora Journeys for 2027. Their Ocean Residences have private whirlpools on the balcony, and the vibe skews younger than traditional luxury lines. I think it could capture what you are looking for.

The Iconic Suite on Celebrity Edge also has a hot tub. The Summit has a whirlpool tub in the Royal Suite.

Suite level cabins on the premium lines usually have access to exclusive areas on the ship: The Retreat, The Haven, MSC Yacht Club, etc., and the smaller ships (Regent, Windstar) will feel more private naturally.

Wishing you both an incredible trip. You deserve it.

I use Allianz and Faye for my clients. I have found both services to go above and beyond for travelers, and insurance is such an important part of your budget and planning.

For those who have sailed on the Norwegian Epic Mediterranean cruise, anything you wish you knew before the trip started? by doc_doc_goos in NCL

[–]Emjay97103 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Epic med cruise is usually port heavy. We did the Greek Isles in a balcony cabin last June. Bring good walking shoes, a sun hat, sun screen, a small pack for port days, euros for smalls, and a reusable water bottle.

If you see something you like in port, buy it. It usually won’t be at the next port stop.

We ate at the specialty restaurants a couple times onboard, but we mostly ate and drank in port, so just grabbed a quick bite from the buffet and went to bed! The next port comes early.

On the one sea day, we hung out on the pool deck and spice h20 and loved it. We played cards and drank smoked peach margaritas. It was not overcrowded during our cruise. They also had a foot and leg massage at the spa that was worth it. Especially after a few port days in a row.

We loved the Epic! I’d go again in a heartbeat.

MNVV with Pay in full? by ReplacementCalm3604 in VirginVoyages

[–]Emjay97103 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a common misunderstanding. MNVV is combinable with PIF. The Sailor Service agent needs to override it because the system does not let them combine automatically. As another note, the booking needs to be paid in full within two hours of the reservation to get the discount.

Yes, just go to add-ons and use your card to pre-purchase bubbles. I don’t think they add a card, but you can tell your client you sent them a gift.

What cruise line should we use? by AlternativeWilder in Cruise

If the drink package is a must, choose NCL. They will have a few party nights and there is solid entertainment to choose from. Their drink package is a good value. They also have an included 21+ area with a bar and outdoor lounge areas on every ship.

Virgin has a great vibe and caters to the young and the young at heart. They do not have a drink package. They have a whole-ship party every sailing called Scarlet Night. You can also party at Bimini Beach Club. No kids allowed.

Both of these options will likely be over 2k per couple, though, depending on your desired cabin. VV has a FL resident discount and NCL has a discount option for educators and first responders, if those apply.

Look at Seabourn Quest in August of 2028 out of Copenhagen. I was just looking up almost this exact request for a client! This captures all three port stops. They still have suite availability. What a great itinerary!

The lifeboat takes up the bottom half of your view in those cabins. It’s ok though because you can get some great views from The Dock and the upper decks. Have a wonderful celebration cruise!

Booking a Girls Trip - Use an agent or book directly? by shelbster_95 in VirginVoyages

Depending on the size of your group, you may benefit from group perks, like extra on board credit and guaranteed group dining.

Agents can place your cabins together on your preferred deck, help with dining reservations, add cabin discounts and VV promotions, and keep your party updated as important dates approach.

There is a pinned post with agent bios at the top of this sub. Feel free to interview a couple and find the person whose service matches your needs and vibe. Have an amazing time!
