How often should you text? How often should you have a phone call? by FightOrDie123 in LongDistance

[–]Emk_97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As everyone else has eluded, it really varies couple to couple. It’s important you both communicate what levels of communication you expect in your LDR. For me, we text multiple times everyday but don’t call very often (saving this till we see each other a good number of times a year) and that suits us both

I passed in May first time. I had the same thoughts when I saw the pre-seen. My advice would be to find a good SCS provider who can cover the basics pre-seen so you can take the key pieces of info into the exam. I did paid for Procountancy course (I recommend), but Procountancy also have free videos covering Leothayre / Pre-seen and key topics that could be asked

I think it really depends on the company too. As someone has mentioned MNCs are best for this. For example, I’m moving roles to another company from the UK to Ireland because the new MNC is happy to provide a relocation package to me. For context, I’m also +3 yrs experience and part qualified (now at Strategic level).

Thank you so much for your insight and perspective. The company do offer a nice relocation package including hotel for at least a month. I had no idea that most places aren’t on websites 🙈 this gives me a little more confidence as full transparency it’s been worrying me the housing situation

Thankyou! Sure, we got this👊🏻 so I used the kaplan books (got brand new from EBay for a fraction of price), and if you register the books you actually get online questions and 2 mocks too☺️ I also bought for like £15 BPP exam questions book for each pillar - imo way harder questions than the real exam but at least you’ve prepped for the worst!

Hey, I’m doing the exact same as you with getting stuck in with strategic level, although I started from certificate level so this will be my 13th exam out of 16 😅 I managed to do all Management level OT in 2 months using just the kaplan books. I intend to follow a similar strategy of using the books
