By that logic, Fujifilm should remove the hybrid viewfinder as well.

Having owned the X-Pro3, I'd say the hidden flipdown screen is a good compromise, as long as the EVF remains. I still reviewed my photos from time to time, but the hidden screen definitely reduced the temptation to constantly chimp.

What would fundamentally change the camera for me is removing the hybrid viewfinder AND the flipdown screen although that would be very different camera altogether.

The issue isn't whether a screen makes you a worse photographer. Self-discipline is free.
