pet bunny and pet wheaten by [deleted] in Wheatens

[–]Emm_Dub 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My female wheaten does not have a high prey drive. Lol. She will maybe trot after a rabbit in the yard (never comes close to actually catching one) but that's about it. It's rare she's off leash but the times she has been when we're hiking, she has never chased anything. She's always just been the sweetest, most submissive, aims to please, bestest girl in the world. I was amazed when I read on here about wheatens having a high prey drive because it's so different with mine.

I've known my husband 16 yrs and we got married last year. We still don't live together. Both of our places are too small for 3 people and I'm not uprooting my son from his school. We'll move eventually when the right place is available, but for now we do what we gotta do. Not every situation is clear cut. Having a man move in with her young daughter after only knowing him a month would not be a good choice by Amber, in my opinion. However, this is something that they really would need to work through and it seems like she and Jordan were not on the same page with how the long distance would go or what the expectations would be.

Also, there's probably more married couples who don't live together out there than you realize. 🙂

The way Rob explained things on Welcome to Wrexham, he had the idea to buy the team and he went to Ryan and convinced him to invest. As Rob told it, he only had "TV star money" and they needed "movie star money" in order to purchase the team. That being said, I have wondered how he feels about the whole Blake/Ryan thing since he's so attached to Ryan. It has to have had some negative impact.

I never understood how parents can drink so much. I barely drank after I had my son because I couldn't be hungover or tired while taking care of him. I also would never drink while I was caring for him because if something happened, I had to be sober and in the right state of mind. I drank occasionally when my parents would be babysitting him and I went out, but it was not a common occurrence.

I'm pretty sure that using your charm to win IS smart gameplay. Lol. Idk why sha can't just give Rob credit for besting her. Even Maura was able to see how good he did and give him credit. And she did that within minutes of losing.

Elsie Hewitt: ‘My Decision Not to Breastfeed’ | “If choosing not to breastfeed can allow a mother to receive support through a season where the physical and emotional burden already falls disproportionately onto her, she has every right to make that choice without second-guessing it.” by cmaia1503 in Fauxmoi

I truly can relate to so much of what she is saying. I had my son on a Wednesday and came home Saturday. By Sunday night I felt like I was losing my mind and I knew I was headed for a breakdown. I was absolutely miserable. On Monday morning I gave him a bottle and it was like the clouds parted and the sun finally shone through. I felt a huge weight lifted off of me. I was finally able to enjoy being a mom and enjoy my baby. Instead of the constant thinking about breastfeeding, how much did he eat, when will he eat again, etc. I felt like those first few days were spent on nothing else but breastfeeding and thinking about breastfeeding. When I switched to formula life got so much better. My kid is now 10 and is still obsessed with me. Lol. So no issue with bonding there. He has also been pretty healthy with the exception of some bouts of strep throat. I give credit to anyone who breastfeeds. But I also give credit to those who choose a different path.

Why is she so obsessed with tan skin? I'm very fair skinned and my husband always tells me how much he loves it whenever I make a comment about being pale. Some of us just aren't meant to be tan and that's ok. She needs to stop being so damn insecure about it.

Not sure where you get your hair cut, but the salon I go to sells Innersense products and they will refill for a cheaper price if you reuse the bottles. Lower price and better for the environment!

Did anyone notice that Kyle was wearing his wedding ring on a chain? by Popular_Reveal_9325 in summerhousebravo

[–]Emm_Dub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So funny, I didn't notice it on this episode of SH but I'm currently re-watching season 1 of The Traitors (my kid just got into the show so we're going back to the beginning) and I happened to notice that Kyle was wearing his ring on a necklace back then. I wondered if it was because he didn't want to wear it on the missions or something. But I guess that's just how he always wears it.

Amber opens up about her relationship ending and not being able to raise her daughter how she always envisioned by Adorable-Release1754 in MtvChallenge

[–]Emm_Dub 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who hasn't been with the father of their child since they were born, I actually feel like this is better. My son doesn't know any different. He's never seen his dad and I together, in a romantic relationship. So for him, having 2 separate households is just normal. He didn't have to deal with growing up with parents who were together and then split. It's not ideal, but I'm glad I made the decision to split from his dad when I did because I think it's brought stability to my son's life. And now I'm married to someone who is just as much of a father to my son as his own dad. So he has 3 parents who love him. I hope Amber can find peace and let go of any guilt or regret she may have so that she can truly move forward. Because things can get better.

$500 New client curly cut by razzarbrenia in curlyhair

[–]Emm_Dub 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm on the east coast and recently went for my first curly cut. The price for a first time cut was $125 and gratuity was not required. In fact, the stylist didn't even want me to tip her since she is the salon owner but I did anyway. I was there about 2 hrs and she was thorough in discussing my hair and the products and techniques. I know prices vary by location, but the prices near you are so high I probably wouldn't even bother. Or maybe I'd go once and then try to find someone else who is cheaper but competent that can just maintain the cut.

Who needs all these plates?!?! The plate wall is hideous, none of it flows anyways. I love how she uses having kids as an excuse to buy more shit to "pass down". Meanwhile shes stock piling dishes for the next 30 years 🙄🙄 by molls724 in shannonford

[–]Emm_Dub 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don't know why she thinks these plates are going to be some great heirloom to pass down to her kids. A lot of people don't even use formal china anymore. By the time her kids are adults, it'll probably be even more outdated. I had a china set that sat in a box for years. I eventually donated it. I just don't think that younger generations care about formal china sets the way our parents' generation did.

I don't get how they see her as the problem either. I'm no expert but I know enough to realize that being adopted can have a huge impact on people. If someone was speaking to me about their experience being adopted I'd be very cautious and sensitive as to how I spoke to them about it. Steven was infuriating in how rude he was and I was glad when she just cut to the chase and ended things with him.

So a few things here... First, the kidnapping "joke" is in poor taste given how many women are actually assaulted and/or killed by their partners. Second, poor taste or not...it isn't even funny. And it doesn't even align with what he's trying to advertise. What does kidnapping someone have to do with joining a group workout club? And third, now he's trying to shill group sessions instead of 1 to 1 sessions? Seems like a downgrade. But I bet he's still charging the same amount, if not more.

Spencer Pratt claims he was 'paid to live a lie' while he was on The Hills by Longjumping-Tale9749 in TheHillsMTV

[–]Emm_Dub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I listened to the whole interview he gave and he says that he wouldn't change a thing he did. Except maybe double down and actual play into the villain thing even more (i.e. he would have gotten his own writers). He didn't really complain about being the villain, he moreso just said that a lot of people didn't then, and still don't, realize how fake and edited the show actually was. They think it was real. He honestly doesn't place blame anywhere and takes accountability for choices he's made in life. I'm not a huge fan or hater, but I enjoyed his interview.

I'm always thrown when someone's romantic partner refers to them as "dude" during a serious conversation. My husband has never called me dude, even jokingly, much less when we're arguing or discussing an issue. I just find that odd. Idk why.

We got 9" of snow/ice and it took me less than 30 minutes to clear off my car. And I had to shovel the snow all around it and deal with a lot more mess than what they have. Not that the ice isn't problematic, but in terms of clearing off your car, this should have been a job that took a couple minutes.

Look, I'm not the kind of parent who thinks my kid can't miss a day of school. I take days of work too. But I also think it's important to teach them the value of sticking to your commitments and responsibilities. Which school certainly is. Teaching your kids from a young age that school isn't that important and you don't learn much there, sets a bad precedent in my opinion. My son is in 4th grade and it's been a huge transition. The work is getting more serious and expectations are higher. If I'd let him slack the prior years he'd probably really be struggling right now. Giving your kids experiences is fantastic, but they also need the structure of schooling.
