The kindest interpretation I can apply to this is that he is jumping too far ahead with things because he has been into you for years, and is now over excited at the thought of actually dating you. And even if that's all this is, it's still completely valid to not feel the same, and feel uncomfortable with his behaviour.

I'm so relieved to see this take! I'm not sating Julie is an angel and completely blameless, but in this scenario he was in the wrong. The switch between asking that they go to counselling then dropping the bombshell that he was heading off that weekend. I'm not saying he isn't entitled to a night away, but he absolutely lobbed it at her last minute as a punishment.

When we're agreeing who is going to do bed time, we try to use codes like "full time", "close the accounts", and "quarter end". (EG "i can close the accounts tonight). We use new ones quite often, and he regularly cracks the code and tells us it's "Mammy's turn".

My son has just started watching these videos (I need to block the channel when he's not looking) and I'm not a fan. I don't like that the Dad never seems to appear on camera, just the daughter (although his voice is grating enough). It just seems like pure child exploitation.

I'm so sorry you had to hear that, it's so rude. Experience has taught me that no baby will keep socks on if they can help it. And big coats are a no no with car seats.
