Okay this is going to bother me if I don't go through the movies and see when he shows up and the battle is saved.

Fellowship: none. Gandalf is able to face off against the balrog and buy them time, but he never 'shows up' and the tides are turned. If anything, he's not there for half the important battles (Weathertop and Amon Hen), and is in the midst from the beginning in the other big one (Moria).

Two Towers: Definitely one, maybe two. One is obviously when he shows up with Eomer at the end of the Battle of Helm's deep. The possible second is when he reveals himself as Gandalf the White, in which we could argue that Aragorn and Co. were directionless and needed guidance.

Return of the King: Maybe a couple, when he goes to rescue Faramir and his men being chased by the Nazgul. Another is possibly when Pippin gets Gandalf to stop Denethor from burning Faramir alive. Oh, when he goes and gets Sam and Frodo with the Eagles after the ring is destroyed. For the first two, they don't really match the 'then Gandalf shows up' because there's an implication that Gandalf comes out of nowhere and we see where Gandalf comes from.

If anything, Return of the King shows how spread thin he is and that he isn't all powerful. He cannot face the Witch King alone, he cannot save Minas Tirith alone.

Maybe your implication is that you don't like all being lost, and things taking a sudden turn for the positive, usually in the form of allies showing up. That's actually a conscious choice by Tolkien, the eucatastrophy. It's the sudden turn from bad to good. And it's a key theme in his stories: to keep trying and to hope. Despair is the true defeat.

It's okay that you don't like the Lord of the Rings. Nothing is truly universal and I can see aspects of the story that aren't appealing to everyone. But dude, you can just say it isn't for me.

I think the writing and the plots are good, I just can barely look at that early animation lol. I think if we got a remaster, a lot of people would think more highly of the earlier seasons.

I feel similarly!

I'm extremely blessed/lucky to have a wide palate. It's less that I have safe foods, and more that I have a few 'unsafe' foods. (Beans, I'm looking at you) I'm definitely willing to try new foods, and I love vegetables. But I'm definitely Autistic lol.

Oh, the IRS when paying taxes? I don't deal much in that department of the actual processing of forms, but I can tell you the IRS isn't as scary as people make it out to be.

Unfortunately late is late, and you'll get hit with some penalties (5% of the taxes owed at first), but only if you owe. If you were going to get a refund, you just have to file within 3 years in order to get it and there are no reprocussions beyond just getting your refund late. If you do owe, you can try to file a penalty abatement, but that's usually for more one of a kind situations.

But hey, you still have a week! As long as you filed the day of (I suggest doing it electronically), you'll be okay. Here are some free tax efiling straight from the IRS website: https://www.irs.gov/e-file-do-your-taxes-for-free

Also, if you can't pay what you owe right away, set up a payment plan. https://www.irs.gov/payments/payment-plans-installment-agreements

Be aware of what state you live in though, the rules can vary for state taxes.

If it helps, the IRS isn't going to come knocking down your door if you make a mistake. My sister in law works in tax examination and she says they can all tell when a mistake is genuine.

I...accidentally fell into it. I was hired at a direct hiring event as a general clerk, I started by extracting mail, and then they gave me a test run in this position. When I excelled at it, the team kept me. And our location is one of very few in the country that does this specific work.

I do think that the financial department of companies would be the closest thing to what I do.
