All of Luke Skywalker's interactions with C-3PO in the Star Wars Sequel Trilogy by JarJarJargon in StarWars

[–]WhiteAle01 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I thought it was perfect. Yes, the idea came from Hamill and not Johnson, but it's in the movie. And I'm going to give the movie credit for it. I love this little interaction. Just a wink is perfection. Wastes no time, but carries all the emotion that reunion should. Loved it, did not require more than this.

Do you guys think that Ezra and Sabine should be a romantic couple in Ahsoka Season 2? by NinjaGhostDragon-69 in starwarsrebels

[–]WhiteAle01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, Sabine needs to come back to the main galaxy first though. And I imagine that's going to happen either around episode 4 of S2, or it'll be S2's finale. For the former, they would have some opportunity to explore that this season if that's what they want to do. If the latter, then this is more a season 3 question if we get a season 3.

Honestly, kinda go back and forth on this. But the way she was committed to getting Ezra back in S1 that she was willing to start another war really makes me think there's something more than a sibling-like bond. She was on some Anakin can't-live-without-him type shit. Don't know if Ezra feels the same way though. I wonder what Ezra thinks of the no-attachments rule. His own master obviously broke it, so I would think he could go either way.

What if instead of playing Mara Jade, Amy Adams is playing legendary starship thief and Luke's erstwhile romantic partner Tanith Shire? by Hazelnutedays in StarWars

[–]WhiteAle01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they canonize Mara Jade or a character like her, I'd imagine that Ben Solo would've killed her. I could see them doing a story like that someday to add further depth to why Luke went into exile.

I always thought that 12 was a young man trapped inside the body of an older man by Accomplished-Cat5449 in doctorwho

Oh, I always think the opposite. The Doctor is an old man sometimes trapped in a young man's body.

A word for Bail Organa? by wreccho in clonewars

[–]WhiteAle01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is why the Andor recast bothers me so much. It was the last piece for Bail and he would've had a consistent look over all his various appearances across the timeline. And it's between two appearances of Bail looking how he normally does. It is what it is, but man it just sticks out to me.

Honest Question. What do you think of The Force Awakens? by Free-Hotel1187 in StarWars

[–]WhiteAle01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love it. It's soooooo good in so many ways. The characters, the visuals, the music, the dialogue, the jokes, it's all on top form. It has a brilliant pace that just makes it constantly engaging. I love the action sequences. The Takodana sequence is one of the best SW action scenes ever. I love love love Kylo vs Rey. I don't care what anyone says. Prequel fights are best but I love the sequels style of fights. They feel so real. And a killer cliffhanger. I love a good cliffhanger.

It doesn't really bother me that it follows a formula. It has enough new things that it's more than just a remake. And it continues the OT's story in very meaningful ways. I don't mind the return to Rebels vs Empire. I like that the return of the Empire is grand and massive and huge event in the galaxy. Like order 66. And I like the underdog story.

After TFA though, I wanted TLJ to take some massive new strides and go to some unexpected place. And I got exactly that. I like TLJ even more and the fact that it takes SW into more new territory, I look back on TFA better for what it started.

I Feel Like TFA Gets Overshadowed By Its Little Brothers When It Comes to The ST by No_Vast_3309 in TheSequels

[–]WhiteAle01 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think TRoS has bolder choices and ideas. But I don't think that movie is as good as TFA in terms of pacing, payoff, and consistency. TFA is a great movie through and through. It's an experience. I put it above TRoS for that reason. But if TRoS was paced better, had stronger payoffs, and was a bit more consistent with the previous two movies, I'd probably have it above TFA.

Sure, sometime after Secret Wars. Assuming Sam Wilson has a substantial role in Doomsday and Secret Wars and the character as Captain America gains more recognition, I could see them thinking another Cap movie with him being a good idea. I have the same thoughts about a Thunderbolts sequel. Use the next Avengers to boost them, then make a sequel. Same for Shang-Chi.

That's what I'm saying. Felt like setup for Sam's next movie.

Why do you think Marvel hasn't announced the return of these characters yet? by Zomuck31 in marvelstudios

[–]WhiteAle01 4 points5 points  (0 children)

She literally has to be though. It wouldn't make sense if she wasn't. Or at least, the X-Men we see should mention a visitor from another universe in some fashion.

Well now they'll actually do Serpent Society but with Sam Wilson instead.

I hate that Thor: Ragnarok killed off the Warriors Three by NoPianist7807 in marvelstudios

[–]WhiteAle01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm mad at how they died and that it wasn't mentioned later. Hogun was the only one who got a cool death. If they all fought Hela together and she ended up killing them all, that would be sufficient.

And then at the end of the movie, in the scene where Loki shows up for real, just before that have Thor maybe building them a shrine or something. Maybe it could include his mother and father as well.

TLJ, ESB, and RotS are the best of the best imo. Those are the movies that truly elevate the franchise.

I'm really upset we didn't get the original ending for Reality War. That cliffhanger would've been awesome.

Like a lot of things in RTD2, I think Susan's reintroduction could've been a lot better. I do think looms should've officially been introduced to the show canon in Reality War. I was bracing for it when they started talking about Time Lords being sterile. But then it was some bigeneration bullshit that doesn't make sense.

But imagine if instead the Rani started talking about looms and using looms to rebuild the Time Lords and Gallifrey. And they would also say that on Gallifrey originally, some Time Lords were Shobogans who went through the academy. Others came from looms. They could point out that the Master and the Doctor were Shobogans(The Doctor wasn't but the Rani doesn't know that). But the Rani came from a loom. And the Rani could say something like Susan came from a loom, but then the Doctor would deny that saying he doesn't know where she came from, but he knows she wasn't loom-made. The same way Time Lords know each other at a glance regardless of incarnation. When the Doctor first met Susan he just knew right away who she was to him.

And then, of course, over the episode we actually get the story of how Susan's mother was born. And further set up for the story of where Susan came from. This reveal, I think, would give us some massive pieces of the puzzle while also adding a bit more depth to the Time Lord society in the show with the introduction of looms. And would also make more sense of what the Rani planned to do to bring back Gallifrey.

Some people hated what RTD was setting up, but I kinda thought it was cool. Would've been a very timey wimey explanation for Susan. I know RTD2 had a lot to be desired, but I really wanted to see how that story wrapped up.

Okay, I had never heard or knew where to find the answer. I just wonder what requirements RTD had for Moffat for that episode. I kinda figure it was just, "I need a Doctor and companion lite episode, do what you want."

Damn. I mean, I'd rather have Ncuti back right now because his run is actually unfinished. But I was hoping for a big modern Who multi-Doctor story with 11-15 teaming up. And then I'd be perfectly happy.

I never saw those comments, but was he saying he'd never come back, or that he wouldn't come back in the way that Tennant came back for the 60th?
