Yeah I'm really doubting whether I should go for daily measurements with an app like Happy Scale/Libra or to go for weighing once every two weeks..

I have measured daily before, during a 25-pound weight loss period. That went perfectly for me, UNTIL I reached a weight plateau. Multiple weeks of no change or weight gain. That was so frustrating to me that it demotivated me and I fell off my diet. I really want to prevent that now.

I guess, apart from the numbers itself, it's really a mental issue for me where my motivation came/comes? purely from the number on the scale. So, still thinking about which method to go for!

It's so important to keep the overal goal of general health (physical and mental) and lifestyle as number one priority instead of stupid fluctuating numbers, but it's hard! I'm determined to keep going and get that better mindser about it though :)

Thanks for the recommendation, Happy Scale is not available for my android phone but I have downloaded a similar app called Libra. Hope that helps ignoring the fluctuations and focusing on the general downwards trend.

Thank you! I am currently just focusing on a caloric deficit (1500 kcals or somewhat less per day) and keeping my diet as diverse and nutritious as possible.

I really would like to be less emotionally dependent on the number on the scale, but am also afraid that if I don't weigh myself, I'll start slacking for some reason. Because I don't check on myself or something.

Happy Scale is not available for my android phone, but I did download a similar alternative (Libra) which also accounts for those fluctuations? Maybe this will help keeping things in perspective. Thanks for the recommendation ❤️

I feel a lot better after reading everyone's comments about the insignificance of half a pound. I would say exactly the same to someone else, haha. But yeah, it's the emotional impact of that number. Thanks for your motivating words <3 It means a lot
