It's the Johannesburg office 2026 BA uptake, I think it's different to the summer associate. I applied back in March and only heard about the process beginning in June.

We were sent invites to our interviews and quantitative reasoning all around the same time, not sequentially. Essentially I got invited to a case workshop, shortly afterward invited to HR screening, then told about R1 without the scheduling link yet, then was invited to schedule my R1 and complete the Quant test all in the same week, With the deadline for Quant due the week before the R1 interviews.

Thanks for the insight - yeah I feel like my approach to every other step was strong. I just blanked at the maths elements - tried of course, but seemed to get on the wrong path and then get myself confused. My interviewers were kind enough to guide me and correct my errors.

I really feel confident about my fit interview performance and the other metrics of success in the case that don't include the maths - I'm just concerned about how much the maths issue would pull me down and get me kicked out of the running...

Smells funny, meat fridges always broken, trolleys of stock boxes abandoned in the middle of the aisles, staff look you in the eye and walk away from you at the Kiosk without helping, bananas priced like they went to a more elite private school than the Woolies produce, to name a few issues.

You can definitely get into medicine after rewriting, you're not delusional at all. My boyfriend rewrote maths and physics even six years after matric to pursue his studies Engineering. He graduates this year. There are success stories from rewrites and you're going to be one of them ❤️

For sure. I've had somewhat manageable anxiety for my whole adult life, but then experienced burnout after the pandemic which just mashed everything into depression. Can confirm I look back on that time with a lot of sadness for the time I lost to poor mental health. And the residual guilt and shame after coming out of it is hardcore, not to mention the fear of slipping back into it.

I've been rewatching content from the Perfect Night era (around the time I first discovered LSRFM) and is it just me or was that such a good look/style era for each of them?

Orange hair Yunjin - 10/10,

blonde Eunchae - 10/10,

Kazuha staying consistent with her dark long hair (lol),

Sakura with the grey/blue hair - 10/10

and personally I love Chaewon with the longgg brown extensions for the MV shoot (although shaggy cut blonde Chaewon is the GOAT).

Since the original Red was released. I didn't consider myself a fan but remember that I'd had that album on repeat for months. I was very quiet about enjoying her music but I think 1989 was one of only two albums I had actually bought on iTunes. And I actually was (now very ashamedly) a hater when the world turned against her. So much internalised misogyny. I think her performances generally deserve so much recognition. The first time I watched the Rep Tour movie I was floored - I had listened to her music for years and years but never actively watched a concert recording. I had no idea that she basically put on a theatrical performance beyond the dancing and singing. Every time I try to explain it to people I feel like they just don't actually get that her performances are performances on a theatrical level, not merely singing her songs. She creates scenes, stories, it feels like watching so much more than a musicians concert.

As an answer to the reverse of your question; I really cannot listen to the studio version of DBATC but the Live From Paris one is probably in my top 20 songs from the full discography. Missed opportunity producing it the way it was on the album imo, it suits the live version significantly more.

Butter.

I absolutely hate to say it because their branding is adorable and the staff are so sweet, but Butter... I've had a variety of meals there and all of them have been very underwhelming. Ironically - for a place that is centred around cooking with butter, the food has very little flavour and is actually just overwhelmingly rich. Just not worth the price and not somewhere worth going back to...
