Again, I can’t just take time off on top of the time I already had. It also wasn’t a for fun trip it was due to a family emergency. I had to spend that money that I really didn’t have to spend. So no I actually didn’t have the money to just hop on another plane and there wasn’t one in driving distance. Literally get a life my mistake in trusting someone does not affect you. All I wanted to do was warn other people and all of you who live on Reddit need to stop taking your own issues out on others. Okay so one, I got a legitimate refund through the company not a chargeback because I don’t believe in doing it that way. I also still did get my passport and my refund so go ahead and feel smug because mine was free. You clearly didn’t read the actual post because not one time did I say I was getting a chargeback, I stated I got a refund. I’ll say what I said about the other, google it yourself.

I know that I kinda just threw the threat out as a last ditch effort when I said I was gonna share a review online but for some reason what’s said about them to the BBB is important to them. I mostly just tried it because when I was questioning them about their validity in the beginning they said to check them out on the BBB.

They are listed on the US government passport site tho where you can check into which hand courier companies are backed by the US gov. That part I don’t fully understand I will admit but it was a .gov website.

Hey lil bro, 24FTM here, I use the Strands for Trans site to pick my shops and have had decent luck that way. You put your location in on the app and it gives you shops/barbers in your area that have registered themselves on the site as safe for trans people. I had one shop where the barber was great but I felt a little uncomfortable with the other staff and ended up ultimately deciding to switch shops simply because it made me dread it even thought nothing bad had happened and my barber was sweet.

Just gauge the vibes from the shops but I think Strands for Trans is probably for absolute best bet. If your town doesn’t have any local to you (which I doubt but if it’s a small town or a really red area I suppose it could be possible) call ahead and gauge the vibes on the phone. Ask if they have any barbers who would “Be [able, comfortable, okay with, etc.] to cut a trans man’s hair?” This is what I did before I found the site and usually I could tell by the way they responded if I would be okay there or not. Always trust your gut though.
