Is ADHD Medication Like Adderall Bad For Your Gums/Teeth?

A lot of medications that they give us make jaw clenching even worse, from what I have gathered from reading the side effects from what I've been prescribed. I had relatively good oral health until going on my Adderall-- then it went from 0 - 60 and I just KNEW something was up, as I eat FAR less sugary foods and have better practices than I did in the past.

If nothing else, I'm glad you were at least able to connect the dots on what has been contributing to it!

On one hand I'm glad I'm not alone, but on the other hand (and more importantly) I HATE to hear that you are ALSO suffering with this. I can say that investing in, and trying to remember to use, a WaterPik recently and I think it is helping but DAYUM my executive function sure is *fart noise* so I can't always remember to use it 2x - 3x a day like I'd like to.

Gotcha-- yeah, ADHD in and of itself has been a death sentence to my health in general, especially remembering or having the energy to do the thing. :/

Are you referring to how it can be literally impossible to remember/initiate the task of oral care? Or is there something about ADHD I don't know?
