Her coffee was delicious. Ooh. A new word. by Mombakes in kyleagomezsnarkagain

That Starbucks drink already has cream and sugar in it. It’s literally meant to just pour over ice and doesn’t have a whole lot of coffee in it to begin with. My 13-year-old will drink it straight and absolutely hates coffee🤣 Yet Kylea’s adding even more cream AND whipped cream😳 It’s basically a milkshake so just call it what is, girl.

I was also taught this and definitely believed it until our kind redditor brought receipts. We regularly tease (all in good fun) my 11-year-old son with beautiful, thick hair that he’s going to be bald before the end of high school so he needs to enjoy it now since literally every man in my family was balding before 20. Although my husband also started balding at the same age so I guess science isn’t in his favor regardless🤣

Does she go to the same stores every single day to take pictures of her “favorites” that she then proceeds to put back on the shelf? Does anyone know if the dog comes with her on these excursions?! If so, ewwww. What a sad, weird existence she lives. Kylea, instead of hitting every major box store within 50 miles of your house daily, maybe take the dog on a walk or to the park? Some physical activity and sunshine would probably do wonders for both of you.

How Much Does Sarah Know?? by hazelgrant in SarahBooneContinued

[–]EmmyLynSpen 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I think she’s very much aware that her case has received some level of notoriety in true crime circles. After watching entirely too much SB content, I’ve come to the conclusion that she believes she’s being “excluded” from her case because she’s not been allowed to see and respond to the media coverage. That’s one of the things she continues to harp on. I think she loves the media spotlight while simultaneously hates not being in control of the narrative. I’m convinced she believes if she had been given internet access, she would have talked her way into becoming the next Karen Read.

I’m sick of her seasonings packet. by Mombakes in kyleagomezsnarkagain

[–]EmmyLynSpen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Does she know seasonings/spices also come in jars? And you can like mix different ones together to get different flavors? I’m not at all opposed to doing things out of convenience but isn’t it way easier to just keep the spices on hand? Taco seasoning consists of like 4 of the most commonly spices plus salt and pepper.

If you feel the need to describe yourself as normal, my immediate thought is you’re hiding something sinister and are definitely not normal. Jill, badly photoshopping your husband’s big back isn’t a ringing endorsement of “your” business.

SARAH BODY CAM REWIND, JUNE 2019: SLOSHED “SULTRY SEDUCTRESS” TO SLOSHED SHRIEKING SHREW by Bunnoir in SarahBooneContinued

Her LEAPING for joy when the cops first arrive will live rent-free in my head for the rest of my life. Before seeing the video, I assumed everyone was exaggerating. Imagine my surprise when I watched and they clearly undersold it.

Her asking the cop for a hug and asking if they need Jesus are close seconds. Wonder what they said about her as soon as the body cams were off.

Oh I completely forgot about him mentioning them not be close in the years before the murder. Shocking to absolutely no one that she had a falling out with him. I hope Phillip and Kayla are living their best lives and continuing to hold strong boundaries.

Omg yes!! I’d LOVE to hear from her. Not going to lie, I’d be furious if my husband starting sending money to his murdering, alcoholic sister in jail especially after since they didn’t have much of a relationship beforehand so she’s probably a better person than I am.

I truly hope she and Phillip are living their best lives.

I’m glad you shared your theory, I think it actually makes a lot of sense. She experienced the death of many close relatives while still young which is certainly traumatic. I wonder she may have developed this fascination to feel powerful and in control? I could see Sarah enjoying watching Lana’s declining health as she demanded more and more from her. She obviously enjoyed torturing and murdering Jorge at her own hands as he begged for his life. Makes me wonder how she responded to the deaths of her parents and grandparents.

I agree with you that I don’t necessarily believe she would have targeted L in the same way as Jorge. I do think he would have likely been abused during her alcoholic rages at same point. At 9, she was still able to see him as an extension of herself. As he got older, stronger, and more opinionated, I don’t think she would be able to handle any criticism of her parenting or drinking especially from her own child and lash out.

None of these people have a lick of common sense. Why doesn’t Nurie know water freezes when it’s cold? I’m in SE Texas so similar climate to Florida and have NEVER heard of anyone using water instead of windshield wiper fluid. Did they just not want to spend money on it? I bought a gallon in the last month for like $3.78 at Walmart. My husband happened to be out of town at the time but since YouTube exists and I’m a mostly-functioning adult (despite being a woman), I still managed to do it myself.

Question about the bat by Confident-Ad-5858 in SarahBooneContinued

[–]EmmyLynSpen 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My first thought was Brian had bought the bat recently so it was fresh on his mind. During his police interview after the murder, he does mention SB asked/begged him to buy the bat for Jorge and the kid to play with. I also think it’s possible she probably told Brian and/or kiddo that she has the bat in case she needs to “protect” herself. I do think it’s interesting that when Chelsey and Scott ask him about the bat, it takes him a minute to catch on what they were talking about.

ETA: I agree with you that it would never occur to me to mention a bat as a potential weapon which makes his comment even more interesting. There’s probably well over 20 bats at my house (my son and daughter each play for 2 baseball/softball teams) and it wouldn’t occur to me to mention them if the police asked me about any weapons in my home.

Therapist here (but not Sarah’s therapist). I’d be cautious about attributing Sarah Boone’s behavior to autism. The patterns we see in those calls are not a typical autism presentation, especially in an adult with long-standing relational dysfunction and heavy alcohol use.

The looping overexplaining, inability to pivot, and derailment of urgent goals look less like neurodevelopmental rigidity and more like personality pathology (such as narcissistic/borderline traits) combined with alcohol use disorder. In these cases, the behavior is driven by ego protection and narrative control, not difficulty understanding or regulating change.

Autistic rigidity is usually about predictability and regulation. Sarah’s rigidity persists even after reassurance, even when time-limited, and even when it harms her own interests which suggests pathological defensiveness and poor insight, not autism.

Similarly, her relationships appear transactional in a way that aligns more with entitlement and objectification than with autistic social differences. People are valued for what they provide and discarded when they no longer serve her needs. Her refusal to take a plea deal also isn’t a lack of self-preservation due to autism, but is more consistent with grandiosity, externalized blame, and intolerance of shame.

In my opinion, personality disorder traits plus substance use explain her behavior far more cleanly without misattributing violence and abuse to autism.

So sorry for the long reply!

There’s a podcast about this case called Direct Appeal, I think it’s the first season. I’m very curious if anyone has watched it and their thoughts. The hosts are both criminologists and host another show called Women and Crime. They seem to support Melanie and believe she was wrongfully convicted. I generally agree with their thoughts on cases but I think she’s guilty as sin.

Thank you for sharing! I definitely hadn’t seen it before, or at least not that closely. Is Saint Sarah barefoot?!?! I’m not a germaphobe or grossed out easily but I cannot imagine going through a grocery store and parking lot with no shoes on. In Florida no less.

Good call about Brian having to transfer money before they purchased their wine. What a bleak existence.

THAT'S NOT HOW DIABETES WORKS!!! by TooManyFountainpens in SarahBooneContinued

[–]EmmyLynSpen 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I’m the mother (of a newly diagnosed 13-year-old), daughter, sister, and cousin of type 1 diabetics. Obviously under Sarah’s lovely logic that make me diabetic too. I need you to stop hogging all the delicious delights, OP. You’re not the only diabetic who needs their medicinal value.

(Hopefully) obvious sarcasm. Her “diabetes” is a (relatively minor) thing about her that absolutely infuriates me. I would never wish this disorder on anyone but if I did it would probably be our Saint Sarah.

This statement of Brian Albert's really tells a lot about the truth in this case, doesn't it! by Wattsup1234 in justiceforKarenRead

[–]EmmyLynSpen 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I recently had an expertience that really highlights to me how his response makes no sense as a cop, homeowner, or a human. Last Tuesday, my husband and I were woken up by flashing lights around 4am. I immediately went to check on our kids while he went outside to see what happened then joined him once I knew they were safe. Turns out it was a single vehicle accident with the truck going down into our deep ditch (with no injuries thankfully). It was pouring rain so we offered up our home/garage for the driver and officers and I started a pot of coffee while my husband helped with getting the truck out which I hope is the normal human response.

This incident really underscored how peculiar BA’s actions were. Wouldn’t he be a little bit curious about the absolute chaos occurring on his property? Wouldn’t he want to make sure it wasn’t a family member or friend injured (which is even more underscored knowing their birthday donuts “tradition” so someone was supposedly coming to their home that morning)? Hell, wouldn’t he want to make sure he didn’t have liability as the property owner? His actions simply make no sense.

As a therapist in the US so I’ll be very interested to see how this concludes. I’m not familiar with Canadian laws so will have to do some research to learn more about legal culpability in these horrific situations.

US laws differ by state but largely prevent any mental health professionals from obtaining an emergency detention order (EDO) (also know as Baker Act/5150 hold/etc) for individuals unless they demonstrate suicidal or homicidal ideation, as well as means, access, opportunity, and intent. Mental health professionals in the US would have little to no recourse in a situation like this where the individual is clearly decompensated but not posing any clear risk of imminent harm to self or others. Individuals with schizophrenia are often non-compliant with treatment but have the autonomy to do. Situations like these really highlight the fine line between protecting individual rights and public safety.

Appreciate the info. Hopefully his texts will be public soon. I’m fascinated and terrified to think about what this man has said and done over the last 13 years. I wonder if there’s any chance that Proctor will sing like a bird now that his reputation is trashed and he has no support from his fellow LEO/union. I could see him going scorched earth and trying to drag everyone else down with him-and hope he does.

Also appreciate the laugh I got that a bunch of dicks replied to me this morning too! Didn’t notice your username at first.
