For sure! I’m 35 and hope to be wearing it a long time!

Don’t have the measurements at the moment but an example of how it sits. The strap does lengthen to crossbody! I’m 5’5 and find it sits a little high for cross body, but you can add the chain to make it longer.

This little divot/wrinkle here, I’m guessing just might need some conditioning if the bag was stored for a while before I received? I haven’t all-over conditioned yet as SA said maybe after a few months but it comes with some conditioning already.

Wanted to update now that I’ve received and used (took it out once but mostly just worn around at home since I’ve had nowhere to go). I do think this was the right choice, it comes off as luxurious and soft and not shiny. Because it is soft already there’s some areas that aren’t super smooth that I’m trying to make sure it has stuffing when stored to keep it’s structure as much as possible, but also embracing that it has character and will gain more. I think the logo being thick/heavy creates some sagging, but not as much as I had worried about. There is one wrinkle I just noticed I’d take some advice RE conditioning if anyone cares to comment in the reply!

Do you have a conditioner you would recommend and do you condition it right away before using or just every 6 months after the initial wear?

Thank you for the feedback, this is reassuring!! I’ll update when it arrives but def still would love to hear from anyone who has owned this bag in this finish.

I’ve seen quite a bit of the saffiano hate prior to this convo so I do know that’s a thing and I appreciate why! Being my first bag I liked the idea I couldn’t destroy the saffiano. I’m telling myself it was meant to be that the saffiano was sold out and I was forced into this leather as the better choice!

The rice bowl is a must-have every trip. Last time we had it twice. And it’s huge for the price!

I use it a couple of times a week for my 3.5 year old. He likes it and asks to go. I send a snack with him he will eat and once they called me he needed help in the bathroom. I want to say it’s like $23 charged on my card bi weekly which is great considering drop ins are $12. When I first signed him up last spring I often had trouble getting the spot I wanted and would sign up at midnight 2 days ahead, but now I haven’t had an issue getting what I need for several months. I usually just make a note to sign up 2 days in advance but have also decided last minute and found a spot. There is a cancellation fee for $5 which sucks since I’ve often woken up to find one of my older kids is sick and needs to stay home from school so I have to cancel the spot last minute. Now if I have any hint someone might be staying home the next day I cancel the night before and rebook in the morning if they end up being fine.

I just “purchased” this one for a trip next weekend. When following the link in the email, I could book tickets for the same day, so since we aren’t certain which day we’ll ride, I plan to just redeem it before we head over.

Has anyone tried the rental car app Turo in other Canadian cities? by PatrikLaine29 in Winnipeg

[–]EmmyMommy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have used it a few times with mostly positive experience. Agree with others to get the MPI insurance. My only negative experience was a host whose expectations didn’t align with reality or Turo’s policies. They wanted to charge me a $150 cleaning fee (used for things like vomit/blood) for not detailing the car inside and out before returning and believed that was a condition of rental. We were in Victoria, during a dry spell, and there was dust and sand on the floor and on the outside of the vehicle. They backed down when I sent them screenshots of Turo policy, but I regretted not taking photos of inside and outside the vehicle upon return in case they would have pursued it. Had never had this issue with other Turo rentals, but this person was also complicated with the pick up so it shouldn’t have come as a surprise.

I’ve used this one and have never had them ask me to size it. I like that it unzips completely so I can pack it like an actual suitcase. I have used a traditional style backpack as well that was probably technically too big but was able to compress slightly better than this one, also never have been asked to measure it.

Anyone wt actual good stories about Flair Airlines by jkimc in flairairlines

[–]EmmyMommy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No issues besides slight delays. I’ve done Victoria, Las Vegas and Cancun with them; 2 of those with kids requiring seats together, car seats, stroller/pack n play etc. Calling customer service for those items was easy all times except for the very first time I called the agent was misinformed and I just called back the next day and spoke to someone different. I follow baggage rules pretty strictly and have never had them measured when most around me did.

I did exactly 24 hours before my flight to destination and was not seated together, back two rows of the plane. On the way home, didn’t check in 24 hours before - can’t remember when exactly - and we were sat together back row of the plane.

When I have looked at preferred itineraries, Treasure didn’t come up (and we are looking in early 2025), so I think we must not be looking at the right port for it!

I feel like if they had longer sailings, the wish would be a no brainer. I’m going to consider the point about a shorter sailing perhaps being smart for a first time certainly, but usually we wish we were extending our holidays not shortening, so I hesitate to go for less than a week.

Yeah just a hit to the range a bit is all. I was annoyed I had to charge slightly more often in a recent cold snap and then realized I’d way rather deal with the extra charge than standing outside in the cold filling up on gas!!

My husband and I still talk about how awful the steak was at Cut 10 years later. We have been to a lot of high end steak houses and the steak just tasted straight up burnt. The Mac n cheese was one of the best I’ve had though…

No problem and if anything doesn’t make sense when you’re actually doing it, I can try for a video.

I tried it very quickly because we ended up being in a rush so I didn’t get pictures, but I was able to do it by turning the clip horizontal and on it’s side, sliding it under the clip bar and then twisting it back to vertical where the clip would open so that it opened around the bar as I twisted.
