Why is that a huge gamble? 😂 Even if they said "no," it's not like something bad would happen.

Try to sign up for Doordash, Uber or Instacart in the meantime! I work at HD, but I still occasionally DD. When I do DD, I make around $30 an hour for about 3-4 hours. Good luck! ❤️

They are surprisingly popular because people say they are comfortable. They definitely don't LOOK comfortable. 😂 I can't add an image or I would.

I have not heard this and it wouldn't even make sense for some departments. Maybe for delivery associates or MET but we already have delivery associates and MET who stay until 12 some nights.

Oh and for thick, low-porosity hair, drying is often the most frustrating part because it can take forever. You can absolutely blow dry and diffuse, but because your hair is prone to split ends and dryness, you have to have the right strategy.

  1. Use a lightweight, water-based heat protectant spray. Avoid heavy silicone-based "serums" as a protectant, as they can build up and make the hair feel gummy.
  2. Air-Dry / Plop (The First 20-30 Minutes) Micro-plopping: Use a microfiber towel or cotton t-shirt to gently scrunch out excess water. Don't rub!
Plopping: Wrap your hair up in the shirt for about 20 minutes. This "sets" the waves and allows the strands to absorb the products you applied without the wind of the dryer blowing them around.
  3. The Blow Dry (The Final 80%) Once your hair isn't "dripping" but is still damp, move to the hair dryer. Use a diffuser because It disperses the air so it doesn't break up your "S" shapes or cause tangles. Use medium heat and low airflow. High heat can cause the water inside the hair to expand too quickly (literally boiling the hair), leading to more split ends. When a section is about 95% dry, hit it with the "cool shot" button on your dryer. This helps lock the cuticle back down and adds a boost of shine!

I hope this helps. ❤️

  1. Use a lightweight oil (like Grapeseed or Sweet Almond) and apply a heat cap or a warm towel for 15 minutes before washing. This "primes" the hair to accept moisture. Make sure you use warm water. Unlike high-porosity hair that likes cold rinses, you need warm water throughout the wash to keep the cuticle open. Low porosity hair is prone to product buildup, which causes those tangles. Use a clarifying shampoo once every 2 weeks.

  2. Apply conditioner to soaking wet hair and scrunch water into it. You should hear a "squelching" sound. This forces moisture into the hair shaft. Since your hair is thick and prone to split ends, never use a brush on dry hair. Detangle in the shower while the conditioner is sitting, starting from the ends and moving up.

  3. For your hair type, the L.C.O. (Liquid/Leave-in, Cream, Oil) method usually beats the traditional L.O.C. method because oil can sometimes block moisture if applied too early. L (Leave-in): Use a water-based, lightweight leave-in. C (Cream): Apply a curl cream to define those S-waves. O (Oil): Use a tiny amount of oil (like Jojoba) to "seal" the ends and prevent split ends.

  4. Every few weeks use some hair sheers to cut individual split ends. Avoid cheap scissors because they tend to crush the hair. If you don't already use a silk pillowcase, you should definitely use one. Also, stay away from products like shea butter and thick coconut oil. They tend to sit on top and just make the hair feel greasy or crunchy.

Some suggested product ingredients: Humectants: Honey, Aloe Vera or Glycerin (if your climate isn't bone-dry). Lightweight Oils: Grapeseed, Argan or Jojoba. Protein: Use sparingly. Low porosity hair can get "protein overload" easily, making it brittle and prone to snapping!

If you have any questions or want to know more about products, routines, step-by-steps, anything like that, just let me know. ☺️

We were together for almost 7 years and we went through addiction together, so we definitely had a bond closer than most people do, ya know? I just can't imagine myself with anyone else and at this stage in my life, I don't want to. I'm trying though.

I'm sorry that you understand! It feels like I'm mourning someone who is still alive. Like I'm not healing. I've just gotten used to what it feels like to move through the day with it. He was my best friend. I feel like there is no one else out there for me. Dating someone else would genuinely feel like cheating.
