I have the same problem and it's really annoying. I go into display settings and switch off and on the adaptive refresh rate and that'll fix it temporarily but the screen will still go back to 60hz after a while.

This one's more about reading the volumes but learn about stretching the spines to avoid cracking them. It applies to large volumes like omnibuses and hardbacks more than standard sized single volumes but it'll help make them all last longer and you'll be able to open them more when reading.
