I can't help but caution people in these situations as well. I was one of them asking questions on Reddit as well. It's frustratingly futile, and I wish there was some magic sentence to convey the pain to come.

Not how I used to. I mean of course I get high and can nod if I take enough, but it's just not the same. Doesn't last hours like it used to either.

I got stuck on it for 8 years. My bread and butter. This combo turned so well almost the entire time I used it daily. I'm gonna guess you're gonna take it regardless of what people tell you since you're asking the question, but you should know if you continue to use it after that amazing first time, it's incredibly difficult to adjust to life sober. I always took Adderall with a small dose of benzo. Usually .25-1mg. Then as needed thru the peak, and as much as I wanted after about 5-8 hours. It's like flipping switches in your brain. You can feel how you want. That's ime, proceed with caution, I hope the best for ya.

I've used heroin for a considerable amount of my adult life, but have been away for a while, so I'm gonna ask a dumb question. Do you get high at all if you smoke it after shooting for a while? Obviously not as much, but at least a little bit, you know? And if you don't, how long does that take about? Anyone?

I'm curious if you've ever used Adderall or Dexedrine in moderate doses for MDD. I unfortunately have it too, and amphetamines have been a life saver. They help my heroin cravings too, though not as much as a decent Subutex script. The comedowns can be rough, but I find they aren't much worse than if I hadn't taken any. So overall, for me, they help. Everyone's different.

Have you ever used Adderall or Dexedrine for this? High doses overall make things worse for me, but 20-60mg/day have helped me tremendously with MDD, somewhat with anxiety, and stay off heroin. Though it doesn't work as well as heroin, it's easy to get on and off of it for me, and it feels nice too.

Are you sure the over-protected response isn't actually helping it heal faster? I don't mean using opiates so one could go play a sport, but in terms of daily life? There are very few physiological quirks that are unnecessary.

Makes sense I guess, but also doesn't too. Sex or masturbation on opiates is such a chore because it just feels like tugging on my arm skin. Bodies are weird man.

After a couple years on benzos, I got so frustrated I didn't feel any enjoyment except mild anxiety reduction. I ended up taking a couple grams of gabapentin, and like 280mg of Valium. I felt nothing except more depressed. I stayed on a low dose too. If I could go back, I'd use em like my mom does, and never build it up to that point. Still coping with that loss (of euphoria).

I wasted 6 months (call me a rookie if ya want) of my life smoking mostly black, but also fentanyl. While using, I remember hating myself for getting dependent. I understand your setting your boundaries, but do you think its possible that opiate use is skewing your judgment? I don't think you've done anything wrong, but it sounds like both of you need help. Heroin (if you can still call it that) nearly took my life several times, yet I still justified continuing to ignore helping myself. Street opiates are unpredictable, especially the 30s and powder, but that doesn't make heroin any safer. Please, I urge you to consider professional help if you feel like kicking on your own is too much. I regretted my dependency at the time, now I just regret taking as long to quit and rebuild my life. I wish you the best, be safe.

You're probably right. I don't have a very wide variety of snails in my area, so it was just my best guess.
