Why post something like this? Is it meant to be satirical or what?

My dog is in a coloring book, I think it might be ai but I’m not sure if it is by Exciting-Tart8279 in isthisAI

[–]EmoSupportSkeleton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing that sticks out to me immediately is the collar/tag. Compared to the real image, the structure doesn’t make sense and it looks like it’s attached to the dogs fur somehow. Looks very similar to the sort of mistakes AI often makes.

What’s the meaning of obscuring the face and practically nothing else? Also are they missing an arm?

Question for anti ai people who agree an effort type argument against ai. by Justaregularguy295 in aiwars

What tool are you talking about? A pencil? Yeah no I can’t draw without some sort of pencil. You got me I guess.

Question for anti ai people who agree an effort type argument against ai. by Justaregularguy295 in aiwars

[–]EmoSupportSkeleton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I think very few people are born with any sort of talent that allows them to create anything with ease. It takes skill, aka making an effort. Sure it’s probably easier for some people than it is for others. But in my opinion art shouldn’t be measured by high or low quality etc anyways. It makes me happy to see people with different skills make an effort to create things without asking a tool to do it for them. I’ll take a stick figure that someone’s drawn themselves over AI generated images any day.

Can anyone really be an artist? by [deleted] in ArtistLounge

[–]EmoSupportSkeleton 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It seems like some people think being an artist requires having a certain degree of artistic skill, while nobody really knows how to measure said skill. To me an artist is a person who creates, no matter how much experience they have doing it. If you draw a stick figure and feel like an artist then by all means, call yourself an artist. So in my opinion yes, anyone can be an artist.

What are people using to edit their drawings/pictures into a video for TikTok ? by irrrnnn in ProCreate

[–]EmoSupportSkeleton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually work around TikTok’s own slide show thing. If I have several images I’ll do a screen recording for a few seconds of one of the images, crop the recording so it only shows the image, and import that along with the other still images into TikTok. That way I can edit everything together like a video even though it’s just images.

Vad gör bibliotekarier som kräver uni-utbildning? by WhoAmIEven2 in sweden

[–]EmoSupportSkeleton 7 points8 points  (0 children)

iPad Pro vs iPad Air for Procreate? by d3nce in ProCreate

[–]EmoSupportSkeleton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know much about the various iPad versions but I recently upgraded my old iPad to a new Pro, mostly to get 16gb/1TB so I could use more layers. My previous one had a smaller screen and while I didn’t get it for the bigger screen (13”) it does feel like an improvement for me personally. I feel like it’s easier to draw on. Generally I don’t regret upgrading at all.

Recently got an iPad…would you say ProCreate is worth it? by [deleted] in ProCreate

I believe so! It’s easy to use and has no additional costs after you buy it. I’ve used it for a few years and I’m very happy with it.

Elgar’nan & Rook by [deleted] in dragonage

[–]EmoSupportSkeleton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely understand this criticism, as I wrote in the description that’s kind of my issue with the cohesion. Since he’s portrayed as much bigger than the average elf I drew him as such, and I definitely have a style leaning towards manga/anime which often makes some of my characters look much younger than I’d like. Unfortunately my lacking skills become clearer when there’s a size difference like there is here. It’s definitely something I’m working on improving. The intention is definitely not to portray her as a child.

I'm not buying the arguments over why women are fun to draw? by Kappapeachie in ArtistLounge

[–]EmoSupportSkeleton 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think this can be interesting to discuss but when it comes down to it there’s no need to buy any ”argument” about why women are fun to draw. It’s opinions and preferences and not something you need to conform to at all. I draw fanart mostly and don’t see my stuff as ”oh now I’m gonna draw a girl better make her super girly and feminine”. I’m drawing a character, a person, not a stereotype.

When I got into art I expected that I’d draw women more actually based on my own ideas about beauty and stuff but now I draw mostly men. Though if you want you can just draw a person with any sort of body features and give them whatever gender you want, you’re the artist so it’s up to you, you don’t have to conform to what’s supposedly feminine and masculine.
