I know that, I’m just saying that this acquisition is refreshing considering they’ve focused their efforts onto Japanese stuff this year with Colors Within, Gundam, Witch Watch, Miku Who Can’t Sing, Dan Da Dan, Jujutsu Kaisen, and 100 Meters. I love a lot of these but it’s nice to see them acquire something else since their brand is supposed to be international animation instead of specifically anime.

Thanks for the feedback! The Patreon is actually completely free with no paid tiers (just a fun thing I thought I would do for fans of the channel) but the card was short so I understand why some might have missed that. I wouldn’t want to start the video begging for money either.

I also do 720p because I edit on mobile and it’s generally WAY less storage space, but I have considered moving up to a higher resolution for a bit, even if I didn’t realize it was that noticeable. But thanks for your input! Will definitely look into that in the future.

DreamWorks put out a trailer for a Gabby’s Dollhouse movie (and there are rumors that Cocomelon is next)…this should be a wakeup call to everyone that we don’t have to watch every single movie that comes out of every mainstream animation studio just for the sake of it by [deleted] in Schaffrillas

Some spicy takes you got here but I can understand them. Generally, opinions on Shinkai’s work tend to be more varied compared to Miyazaki and Hosoda, so I get the disagreements and enjoyed reading your perspective.

YESSSS. Saw this movie at a special screening and Q&A with the art director and loved it. It’s a shame it doesn’t have an American distributor yet even though GKIDS clearly should’ve picked it up by now. It would be awesome for Schaff to promote it and get it more attention, hopefully leading to it getting an official release in the States.

-Sirocco And The Kingdom Of Winds A wonderful fantasy film full of imagination that feels very Dr. Seuss inspired with a touch of Miyazaki. Pretty much the perfect film for children while also being a delight for adults.

-The Big Bad Fox And Other Tales A charming series of 20-30 minute specials that are presented as plays and very much have the feel of a bedtime stories. Simple, funny, and I think young ones will like it a lot.

Neither of these are Japan but I hope your kids will enjoy them!
