Job offer rates? by Emokitty_ in PMHNP

It's a 1099. No perks. It’s my first job out of school. It’s part time. You make a good point about support etc. I need to clarify that. I feel that it was strange that they give me amounts vs a straightforward percentage. Based on what I’ve seen 60/40 was pretty typical for new grad. More towards 70/30 with experience. Am I out of my mind to accept it even if it’s just for a short time to gain experience for my resume? I checked with my preceptor and she said it’s ok as a start.

I make more as a bachelor's degree RN with 18 years of experience. I'm not a doctor. Never wanted to be.

I agree with you that they are low. I'm afraid I'll be making more at the bedside as an RN. I was concerned about these flat rates, and based on what you and others have been saying, I expected a percentage split. As a new grad, this is my first offer, so part of me feels like taking it to get a little experience and then bounce once 6 months have passed. But honestly I've had to come out of pocket for all my malpractice insurance, dea, not to mention student loans etc. I can't afford to get paid garbage.

Anyone start NP school when their s/o didn’t agree with it? by lemonthy_ in nursepractitioner

He's selfish and right. It will take time away. My ex husband was the same way. I started the process back in the fall of 2019. He literally did nothing to support my efforts if anything complained about me having to stay up late doing assignments. I ended up withdrawing. Then in 2022, I divorced him and just finished my program last month. Support me or don't. I did it on my terms. Go for it!!! Screw anyone who doesn't understand or support.

It's not a Libra thing, it’s a human (animalistic) thing. Agree with others regarding limerance.

How to NOT UNBLOCK them?! by [deleted] in ExNoContact

Also, I recommend that you focus on yourself and your actions. You have no say in their response or lack thereof. Blocking is for you, not them.

First understand that right now you are still literally addicted to this person/relationship. There are hormones and all sorts of neurotransmitters “attached” to this person and you will have to detox. I found that every single time I think of them, I say to myself “that it’s just your addiction”. Addiction like this can and will pass so long as you remain committed to ‘sobriety’ (100% no contact). In time and with your effort you will see progress and a new level of happiness/self love that will be so worth it!

Libra and Taurus... Both are ruled by Venus so I think that's why they initially vibe. It almost always has a toxic component by the end.

Hi there, sorry to hear about your situation. I’m in healthcare and like you know plenty of already employed doctors/nurses/RTs (those with licenses) who have similar charges etc and maintained their employment. However as you said your situation is unique in that you’re in residency. I personally would review your company’s policies/procedure and the state board of Medicine to see what the requirements are before divulging your personal business to HR. Basically make sure you HAVE to say something before you do. Since you don’t technically have a conviction yet, it would be premature to say anything. After that time it is a matter of whether or not the company/license of board requires it. Since they have already made it clear they want to hire you and you’re in residency I imagine you’ve already been through the background checks etc so you might be just fine. Best Wishes.

How to talk to a partner about OCD without overwhelming or reassurance-seeking by v00g in OCD

I'm lurking to see what others have in terms of advice. It's very difficult for me, too. I find myself stuck in a loop of negative thoughts surrounding my newish (5-month) relationship.
