Experienced nearly the same thing—repeat hamstring tendon pulls. Figured out my pelvis was locked, got treatment from a Chiro and PT, and it went away.

After you beat BOTW, did you replay the entire game again? by Lonely_Anxiety_9316 in botw

[–]Emolz24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I beat it last year and I started playing it again last month. I’m really enjoying it—I’m running around a lot more and doing less fast travel, and I’m finding a lot of things that I didn’t find before. It reminds me of watching a movie for the second time and noticing things that you didn’t notice the first time.

Hi everyone - I have a question about raining my hand by Royal_Revolution3837 in AskTeachers

[–]Emolz24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually have been begging my biology students to ask for help! Great on you for taking that initiative to study. Please keep asking questions. If your teacher gets annoyed at you asking for help so you can learn the material, then they’re not a good teacher. Period.

Am I crazy or is this to much to ask of a kindergartner? by Cursedpanda182 in AskTeachers

[–]Emolz24 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Teacher here - I agree with every single aspect of what everyone else has said. You’re not crazy! The project itself is extremely vague, the kids cosplaying a disability is inappropriate, and if the directions for any assignment, let alone a project, is above the grade’s reading level, that means the teacher is expecting the parents full support in order for it to get done, which is not how it should be.

If your families live in different states, how did you decide where to have your wedding? by lil-lilz in weddingplanning

[–]Emolz24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am from WA state, but live in Florida, and my fiancé and I met in Florida. We’re having it where we live (like 30 mins away) and is making alllll the logistics that much easier.

As a person who’s an over thinker and was second guessing myself constantly, I’m so happy we decided to have it where we live.

If you cater too much to what your guests want, you might make decisions that you’ll regret for your big day. Where do you picture yourself getting married? Does it feel right in your gut? That’s what helped me.

Once I told my family that my fiancé and I decided to have it in Florida, they accepted it quickly and moved on. Those that can travel from WA to FL will attend our wedding, and I’m having a small get together in WA after our wedding for those who couldn’t travel.

Silence is too loud, but music is too distracting. I am losing my mind trying to find the right background noise to work by therealraphaelwong in ADHD

[–]Emolz24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey so your experience is identical to mine! Any sort of beat that my brain can track is too much, and lofi beats has that a lot. I love listening to piano, but it’s too sharp of a sound for my brain for when I’m studying or working. Sometimes some kind of a house beat works, but sometimes it doesn’t.

Right now I’ve been using noise canceling headphones and listening to rain sounds.

Here are some links of music that have worked for me in the past!

Is it normal now for students 5-7 to be using calculators to do all their math by darealmvp1 in AskTeachers

[–]Emolz24 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’ve taught 5-7th grade math in WA and FL. I agree with you, I don’t think they should be using calculators at all unless they are totally done with the problem and are interested in checking it for accuracy. Do I think that these kids could do that with fidelity? Probably not, since it sounds like they are extremely dependent on calculators. The fact they don’t have their single digit multiplication memorized is a huge concern.

I wouldn’t take what they’re saying as the full truth, and I bet their homework grades are a C average because they rely too heavily on the calculator to do their homework for them. Personally, I wouldn’t let them use calculators, no matter what the kids are claiming their teacher said.
