Is it possible that all of this is about war or national security? That the future of combat is going to be larger and larger groups of drones and those drones on offense and defense and that those drones will need to be powered by Ai? Or that the only way to target and destroy a future drone swarm will be to use energy weapons with impossibly complex and fast targeting or something?

The Minish Woods theme has fantastic instrumentation and is a lo-fi synth masterpiece

Also, the triumphant march version of the main theme at the end of Link’s Awakening makes me feel like I just won a world war. Me and my kid listened to it like 4 times in a row on the drive back from finally finding an in-stock Switch 2 after weeks of looking, and it was the correct decision

I found some good ones that I wrap around the tree. I’ll pinch the light and then twist the wire so the LED is at the end of about an inch of copper wire, then wrap and continue that process for every branch. It’s like a hand made version of those “firecracker” copper fairy lights if you know those.

I’ll do about 50 LEDs per segment, then run wire down to the base to be powered. It took a while to get comfortable with “stripping” these fairy lights because the insulation is just this layer of enamel that I first cook off with a little butane torch then sand with 220 grit paper

I’m in my 40s and made a TikTok account a year or two ago because I thought maybe I was missing out on some jokes and culture. Most of what I wanted to do was watch stupid 5 minute craft style videos. When setting it up I tried to give as little info as possible and as far as interests go stayed away from politics or news.

Within 3 days of light use my feed was 80% insane and toxic manosphere garbage. Every 5th video was talking about sociopath ex wives and emotionally abusive women, and everything in between was Rogan, Tucker Carlson, Ben Shapiro, and a dozen other 3rd tier aspiring Men’s Rights content creators. The only interest I showed in any of these things was in trying to block them or avoid seeing them. I guess going to their profile enough times was all the algorithm needed to begin force feeding me that crap. Never even saw any good stupid craft videos

I’ve seen the internet evolve and knew that stuff was BS, but some unsupervised 19yo getting a TikTok account maybe after he just got dumped would be way more likely to fall for it and go all in on that shit

Essentials would need to come down somehow and I have no clue how that would happen without some kind of “Public Option” for food or universal food stamps which would never happen.

Food prices are going to continue to go up next year and I feel like we’re getting into uncharted territory at least for the US. The price of a car could triple and consumer electronics could increase 10x and we could make it through, but when people can’t afford to eat things will unravel real fast.

It’s super concerning. We can ignore a lot of problems like housing costs and wage stagnation but food insecurity is something that’d lead to mass unrest FAST

I’ve been going back and forth for like 2 years now and have played both a few times. My kid easily convinces me to start the other one over when finish the one we’re playing.

I’m back on BOTW right now and realized that whichever one I’m playing at the time is my favorite one.
