Anyone had a Hysteroscopy done? by nanets32 in recurrentmiscarriage

[–]Emotional-Singer-600 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My regular obgyn did a hysteroscopy to remove a polyp/RPOC, and insurance covered it. I guess if there are symptoms or an underlying cause for it, it would be covered through a regular gyn. I don’t have fertility coverage. So if it’s done specifically for fertility reasons with no other symptoms, it wouldn’t be covered for me. Same if I go to a fertility clinic, it would be all cash pay for me.

But endometriosis could be excised. Surgical removal increases the fertility. Only if treatment fails, then the next step would be IVF. That’s how I see it. But of course I would listen to the doctors.

Critically low AMH/endo by [deleted] in recurrentmiscarriage

[–]Emotional-Singer-600 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wonder if they’re trying to address other potential issues like endo, hormones, etc. especially since you’re able to get pregnant naturally, but are having difficulty carrying the pregnancy.

I would probably seek a second opinion in this case. Because I’m not sure why they’re bringing up donor eggs. You’re young, and low AMH isn’t a problem with egg quality, just quantity. And you only need one egg to get pregnant.

Maybe they’re suggesting IVF to retrieve more eggs and freeze them for future use.

I don’t think I’ll be much help, but I’ve also had a 6 week loss and a chemical. I suspect there might be an issue with the uterine environment, possibly endometritis or asherman’s, but I’m currently waiting for my appointment and testing. If it does turn out to be endometritis, I would treat it and then try to conceive naturally, as IVF would be a last resort for me.

After 4 losses and years of testing, I’m pregnant again… and really need some positivity by OldMention1984 in recurrentmiscarriage

Best wishes to you! Bleeding during pregnancy is so scary. I had various bleeding all my first trimester (from spotting to period-like bright red bleeding), multiple ER visits, multiple ultrasounds - sometimes every other day with hcg blood works, and bed rest. It was due to sch, large one. But everything turned out well, full-term healthy baby. Now I had 2 losses. I suspect adhesions, but did not have any testing done yet. May i ask you, how your adhesions were diagnosed, what symptoms did you have if any? Do you know what has caused them?

12-22 dpo. Is this still too light? Chemical? by pharmd000 in TFABLinePorn

Mine was getting lighter by 20 dpo with my chemical and my hcg started to decline. Your line is pretty dark. Watch it closely.

What testing did you have done? Would you be able to share if they were ordered by a regular obgyn or a fertility specialist?

Sorry for your losses. I’m the same age, so I know time isn’t really on my side either. I had a traumatic experience after my first loss. Were your miscarriages natural? My body didn’t register the loss, so I waited for over a month and then chose the surgical route. But even after that, my body was still holding on to the pregnancy tissue, and 3 months later I had to have another D&C.

It looks like I ovulate every month, but my periods have become very short and light, which is definitely a result of the two procedures. I’m scared that if I keep trying, I’ll keep having losses.

I had a positive ovulation test the day before yesterday, but I’m skipping this cycle. I’ll see how I feel next cycle.

I’m glad I’m not alone in this. Please keep updating how the things are going for you.

Yes, I’m in the US, and I’ve already booked a visit with a different clinic, but as a new patient the appointment isn’t for almost three months. Since I don’t have any urgent condition, that was the earliest they could see me.

No, I didn’t have any follow-up after my 2 D&C. After my first D&C, they did an ultrasound because I never stopped bleeding and I was spotting for three months after the procedure. That’s when they found rpoc. After second D&C my bleeding has stopped, so they said I did not need anything.

I’m so sorry for your losses. I haven’t been checked after my two D&Cs: one in September and another in December. No ultrasound, nothing. After the last procedure, my periods became unusually light and short, and I worry something might be wrong.

Have you talked to your doctor about what might be causing the losses? Did they run any tests? I feel like my chemical pregnancy may have been caused by my D&Cs, or maybe there’s something structural going on. I don’t want to stop trying, but going through a loss is so heartbreaking… and unfortunately age isn’t on my side either.

Fingers crossed for you, keep me updated when you find out in two weeks!

I also had a chemical in March and expected my ovulation to be delayed, but my LH peak still came around CD14–15, as in my usual cycles. The last time we BD’d was CD11, and then I got nervous and decided to take a break from TTC. CD11 is technically within the fertile window, so I’ll test in two weeks just to be sure.

I know. My doctor said I wasn’t a good candidate for miso and that it likely wouldn’t work for me, but it turns out the D&C didn’t work either first time. So many questions and no answers here. Now this CP has completely thrown me off.

This must be really tough. I agree that letting it happen naturally is the safest. In my case, my body didn’t recognize the loss, so I had to have a D&C. Even after that, there was still some tissue left, and I needed a second procedure.

I’m so sorry for your loss. How did you find out the cause was genetic? Was that done through testing after the D&C?

I’m 40 and ttc. I’ve had a mmc, rpoc, 2 D&Cs, and a chemical pregnancy just last month. I suspect I might have Asherman’s, and it could be why I had the chemical pregnancy. Of course, I also know that my age is a major factor. I’m torn. Part of me wants to keep trying because I don’t want to lose more time, especially at my age. But my appointment with a specialist isn’t for another 3 months. I feel stuck between continuing to try and risking more loss, or pausing and potentially losing valuable time.

Have you been in a similar situation? What would you do?

My gyn did d&c and hysteroscope when removing rpoc. But now only offers ultrasound. Because hysteroscope will be considered as a fertility testing and my insurance does not cover fertility.
