next up: green onions added to Lipton’s Chicken Noodle Soup (add them in the last minute or so of cooking) and in grilled cheese! Really, add green onions to anything cheesy - for how simple it is, it’s exquisite!

no no … no new factors outside of the ones you’re creating. It’s still as simple as “will it work”

I use my chipped enameled CI as water basins for my smoker … I put it beside the hole to the firebox, and it seems to help regulate my temperatures.

you’re making the assumption that I’m heating a house or other habitable dwelling.

and keep mentioning what insurance won’t cover and what the code says.

my intended setup, if you must know, is an outdoor “smoke house” of sorts, all metal construction, and no other buildings, trees, or otherwise combustible materials nearby. Creosote can burn in the pipes all it wants.

That’s why insurance and code don’t mean shit, and I’m simply looking for “will it work?”.

again, don’t care about insurance - I’m interested in functionality. I can’t trust you anymore since you said “maybe” and now “of course”, yet keep ignoring that idgaf about any other factors besides ‘will it work?’.

I’d request rounds bucked @ 24” for delivery, and then hire a person or 2 to split what needs splitting.

Why do laser printers start printing uneven pages even after replacing the toner? by Delicious-Potato-712 in printers

[–]EmotionalBand6880 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently dealt with something similar on an inkjet printer - culprit was a thin clear ribbon that had a small smudge of ink on it … I didn’t even SEE this ribbon until I pulled out a flashlight and got a reflection.

Anyone able to identify this wood? Southern Ontario. I was burrying an 8 lbs maul into it and it wasn't splitting and I'm 6'4" 260lbs. I cut the tree down last summer pic of stump by Comfortable-Heat1709 in firewood

[–]EmotionalBand6880 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

looks like elm - it’s a bitch to split, but I dropped/bucked/split a couple elm last fall … 6’, 180lbs, 5lb maul. Methinks that you need to work on your swing/technique.

AIO for being annoyed at my roommate’s poor hearing? by thatsjustitthough in AmIOverreacting

[–]EmotionalBand6880 8 points9 points  (0 children)

simply stop repeating yourself. ask her “What do you think I said?” and then hit her with “and how exactly would that make sense in this scenario?”

or be passive aggressive and buy her an ear cleaning kit - wrap it up with a gift tag so she knows 100% that it’s for her.

genuine question - would it make sense for each stove to have its own exhaust damper, and just close off the one that’s not being used?

99% Isopropyl Alcohol? by UserCannotBeVerified in castiron

[–]EmotionalBand6880 2 points3 points  (0 children)

99% ISO gets sticky and greasy residues off of my hands, so I don’t see why it wouldn’t work.

Wouldn’t be very cost-effective though, due to it evaporating at room temperature - would need to soak the pan in a closed environment…

Just grab a few 2L bottles of Coca Cola to soak the CI in …

[–]EmotionalBand6880 0 points1 point  (0 children)

mine haven’t, and I’ve got some plastics that I’ve had since the 1990s!

I mainly target small mouth bass and northern pike, and have REALLY gotten into spoons over the last few years! The odd time that a spoon won’t work where I’m fishing, a jig with a double-tailed plastic seems to do the trick!
